I WOULD LIKE TO RESTORE TO FACTORY SETTINGS TY

You will loose all data you have put on the computer. When you turn it on right at the beginning there is a black screen and there are a few f key options.
They will flash up with the option when you turned it on, before windows kicks in. Take a look at the user manual to find out for sure.
Press the correct f key before windows starts up, then go through the menus in setup (it will look all crappy and dos like) and find restore factory settings (or something like that) and click yes.
It's a great feature, and will completely kill any virus or **** problems you have had and couldn't get rid of.
Hope this helps. I would appreciate your feed back as I do this for fun not pay.

I want to reformat my acer 4720oz please send me bootable disk

The Acer Aspire 4720 Notebook has a hidden partition containing files to restore the system to its factory default. On powering up, press the Alt key and the F10 key together (at the same time) repeatedly and after a minute or so, Acer eRecovery Management should start up. Follow the on-screen directions to do a restore of the system to its factory default. The restoration process will reformat the partition that is the C: drive. After restore has completed, Acer eRecovery Management can be used to create a set of disks for a full back up of your system's factory default image.

DOG ATE MY RECOVERY DISCS AND I CANNOT RECOVER MY ACER EXTENSA 5420 NOW. I INSTALLED VISTA HOME PREMIUM FROM AN UPGRADE DISC AND I STILL HAVE THE PQSERVICE RECOVERY PARTITION. HOWEVER, I DONT KNOW HOW TO...

Hi,

You can launch the recovery option by pressing 'F10' on startup, or if that fails, you can do a system recovery from the ACER EManagement 'Backup and Restore' option in Windows itself.

Acer t180 boots to erecovery

Borrow any Vista install DVD and boot from it

Follow it through until you are asked if you want to install Vista or Repair your Computer
Select repair and let it do its thing - it may work
Failing that its a full reinstall by the sounds of it

If it does not offer you the initial boot option then look on the boot screen for the boot options key - probably F11 or F12 - and press that during initial boot to obtain the boot options screen
