My Model RCV1T-27 remote will go through a set of AAA batteries in 2 weeks. We only use the remote in the evening and then only to turn on the system and set the volume. All the channel changine is done throuth the cable system remote. Is this normal battery life?

If I am lucky, I get 3 days with a brand new set of batteries. Actually, I rarely ever use my system for that very reason. the irony is i chose this model based on the radio frequency feature. . .what a fiasco.

I bought a replacement remote for Toshiba TV and it was the same model number CT-90325 same as the original. but it won't operate the TV, does it have to be programmed to the TV somehow?

Sounds like the manufacturer did an upgrade. You can look up the remote control codes for that TV. Turn the TV power on. Then using the codes you found set each one into the remote you have and check the functioning by trying to turn the TV off. If you are unable to see instructions for setting the codes into your new remote, or if they weren't supplied by the seller, you'll have to find it's manual online and follow those instructions. It could be that Toshiba used the same control model for more than one TV set model. Often just putting in batteries will work but when it doesn't you have to treat the remote as a universal remote. If you can't use the primary unit setting to work you can try to set it up as an"AUX" unit as you would do for a second TV.

Bose remote control not working

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. If it is not found OK, clean the remote control. Open it and clean the PCB inside it. Check the batteries too. Check it with fresh batteries.

The battery life for the remote for my Hampton Bay fan, Model cf556br-crk only lasts 3-4 weeks. It is 12 volt and should last longer. Any solutions?

More info,please.
there are always solutions to a problem. Usually 4.
I have to dig around the internet to see what batteries these take..
Hold on.
The remote control takes 4 AAA cells.
Try Energizer E2 batteries. They are the longest lasting batteries available.
Lithium.
If the remote dies in 4 weeks or less, the remote is at fault.
Probably a factory recall for those remotes.
Try pulling one of the batteries out when not in use. There may be a power drain, internally ALL of the time.

Hello
Check the cells in the battery compartment of your remote control handset. Replace it with new ones and check. Still you poise this problem, the intensity of infrared rays come from your remote control, or the sensitivity of the infrared sensor inside your bose front panel system may have the trouble. Just replace the infrared LED of your remote control with an other one of same type. If it does not helps you, repalcing the infrared sensor will reftify your problem. OK.

Do not know how to replace batteries on Celestial Air Con remote

I had a similar issue and found this thread.

I pulled my the slider down on my remote to the reveal the hidden buttons and then pressed the 2 side thumb grips inwards on either side on the slider and pulled it down again. This popped it off the slider and thus revealed the 2 flat AAA Batteries!
