Kenmore electric range model 911.95875790, no heat to either baking and broiler elements.

Hello. I looked carefully at the service manual for your unit--surprisingly, there is no thermal switch inline with the bake/broil elements. Usually, if the bake or broil elements pop, this blows out the thermal switch, killing power to the elements for safety. The main control board can get damaged due to the high current draw during a short-circuit. The part number for the main board is WB27T10008. The overlay(the decorative sticker with the button/names on it) numbers are as follows: almond WB27T10022, black WB27T10023, and white WB27T10021. I hope this helps you!

Tv show power v3.05 moving around screen no picture

Hello,

Problem is in either power supply or the Y-Sustain board.

The Y-Sustain is a relatively large board out of which go connections to the side of the display; it's therefore closer to either the left or the right side of the display, has at least one rather large heat sink on it and fat power cables connecting it to the main power supply.

Often there are fuses on that board - one or more. Check those.

if they are blown you can try to replace them, but expect them to blow again - usually the whole board needs to be replaced.

often that *needs* to be done in a service center as there are some adjustments to be made after replacement.

Hoping this will help in solving the problem....

We replaced the heating element and control board

Hi Paul,

First off check to make sure you have incoming power, that the circuit breaker is not tripped or fuse blown, the outlet it is connected to has power, no switch that controls that is off.

If power is going to the dishwasher the most common reason for the unit to be dead like this would be the thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is a device that clips on to the control board you just replaced. It senses the temperature of the board and trips if it gets too hot. My guess is that it either is not clipped on to the new board in the right spot or one of the wire connections to the board or this fuse is not tight and creating enough heat to trip it.

You will need to replace this fuse if it is bad, it will come with new wires for it. Be sure to install the new wires, the kit will have instructions.

Problem with the ON/OFF button

The power button is the only way to turn it on. Remove the plastic strip that contains the power button, do this by lifting up at one end, it will then pull up and off. Then you'll see the power button on the board, try pressing this button. If it starts normally, then the button on the plastic strip isn't making a good contact with the button on the board, replace the strip. If it still doesn't turn on, then power button on the board is faulty and will need to be replaced. You can find the plastic strip on Ebay for a decent price. The power switch on the board is harder to find. Most sellers on Ebay leave this attached to the motherboard when they sell a parts machine, you're best bet is a shop that deals with used or refurbished laptops.
