Onetel 150/250 How to register a phone with a new basestation

I have a ONETEL 250 plus (2 dect phone + basestation system), also a spare phone (from a 150 plus system), i want to register the spare phone with the basestation but i've thrown the user manual away, can anyone tell me the steps?

If you go to the menu, then register, it doesn't seem to be doing anything but i suspect there is something i'm not doing.

Thanks!
Graeme

Cool, thanks for the advice never thought i'd get a reply 6 months later!

    Have 3 working handsets now.

The details were hold the find handset on the basestation for a while (5-10 seconds), then register on the handset, it says "bs?" so type 1 then ok, then the pin was 0000.

    Thanks again!

Hi, had similar trouble. You need to go the base station and hold down the find handset button for 5 seconds so it flashes and then go through the menu process to register. you will need to type the pin for the base usually 0000 or 1234.

no problem I was in search of a problem where I can't change the OGM message but figured it out by pressing buttons. It was Menu > Press up once then Ok then hold memo and it says record message. You can set default as well by pressing Del as soon as it asks to record.

NEED TO RECORD NEW ANSWERPHONE MESSAGE ON ONETEL OT150

To record a new OGM, on the Onetel OT150

Press "menu" on the base unit, then "up" once to record OGM 1 or twice to record OGM 2.

Press "OK" The existing OGM will begin to play. Whilst this is playing press and hold "MEMO"

Record your message, speaking close to the base unit. Press "stop" (square) when finished.

If you decided you don't like your message then, repeat the process above but when it tells you to record your own message press "stop" (Square) and the default will be reset.

Email cannot connect to your server. please give me current servers mine are onetel

You haven't given a description of your issue, but seem to have a some problem with email, and using onetel services. The following is from their site at http://support.onetel.co.uk/index.php?page=159. This should allow you to make sure your settings are appropriate.

Please find below the basic Onetel e-mail settings:

If your e-mail address ends in onetel.com:
  • Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.onetel.com Port: 110
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.onetel.com Port: 25
  • Username: the first part of your e-mail address (everything before the @ sign)
  • Password: the password you chose when you registered the e-mail address with Onetel

If your e-mail address ends in onetel.net:

  • Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.onetel.net Port: 110
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.onetel.net Port: 25
  • Username: your full e-mail address
  • Password: the password you chose when you registered the e-mail address with Onetel
Additionally, http://support.onetel.co.uk/index.php?page=170 contains various information depending on the email software you utilize on your equipment, and indicates specific instruction for setting up accounts on each.

I trust one of these solutions will address your needs, but if not, or if you need further assistance, please post additional detail in reply. Thanks for rating FixYa!

Onetel ot150 plus add handset

I don't have a second handset, but I'll quote from the instruction manual - Try this,

Regsiter up to 5 GAP cpmatible handsets to your OT150 base. New handsets must be fully charged.

You can use the same handset at home as well as the office by registering it to 2 bases.

1. At the base: press and hold "FIND HANDSET". You hear 2 beeps and the in use light flashes. Youa re now in registration mode.

2. At the handset: Press "OK". scroll down (with down arrow) to "REGISTRATION" and press "OK".

3. "REGISTER" is diplayed. Press "OK". Any free base numbers will flash. Enter the number of the base you want using the keypad.

4. Enter the PIN Number (default = 0000) and press "OK"

5. The handset searches for the base and when registration is complete goes into standby mode.

To test the handset is registered. Press "FIND HANDSET" on the base and the handset should begin to ring. Press "FIND HANDSET" again to stop the ringing.

As I say this is taken word for word (with a few spelling mistakes no doubt) from the instructions. I Hope that it solves your problem.

If you still have problems or you don't have the PIN number, the helpline number is 0845 226 7794, or e-mail [email protected]

Onetel OT100 Trio

If you havent sorted it yet - I have a handbook here for a onetel sirius 2000 - it says:

1 press OK on the phone
2 scroll < or > to flashing handset symbol
3 press OK again
4 Press & hold the button on the base station until a beep is heard about 2 secs
5 enter the base PIN at the handset - default 0000
6 press OK again - if successful you will hear a tone and the handset name and number will be displayed. If unsuccessful then Not Reg will be displayed.

Online manual

Hi - took me ages to work out without the manual, but when you're in the answerphone menu (described above), press 9 (record OGM) then either 1 or 2 (1 for OGM 1 and 2 for OGM2), speak your message, then press 5 (stop), the message will automatically replay, then you're sorted
