Oh well first you will need to test a connection at your house, then if it doesnt work you will need to get closer to you rouder.(one MAYBE like cisco or other that connect from the big box). you will need to get those if you want to play on your dsixl. i got my rouder for about 100 bucks. good luck

Turn on your Nintendo DSi and access the System Settings byclicking on the wrench icon. Scroll over to the third page, and select"Internet." Now choose "Connection Settings." Click on"None" for "Connection 1." Click on "Search for anAccess Point." The Nintendo DSi will search for any wirelessnetworks within range. Once it is finished searching, it will display the namesof all the wireless networks it finds. Look for your wireless network, what todo next will depend on the "lock" icon you see next to your networkon the Nintendo DSi. If it is unlocked and gold, just clicking it shouldconnect you. If it is locked and gold, click it and type in your WEP/WPAsecurity key when prompted. If it is locked and silver, tap the back buttontwice and then choose advanced setup. Click none for connection 4. Selectsearch for access point. The grey lock you saw before should now be gold. Clickon it and enter your security key.

How do you get the dsixL to conect to internet.

Hi. Welcome to fixya!
Follow the steps below to connect your device to the internet.
1. Turn on your Nintendo DsixL and click on the wrench icon to access the system settings. 2. Scroll to the third page and select INTERNET. 3. Then choose Connection settings. 4. Click "None" for Connection 1 5. Click "Search for an access point" 6. It will now search for any access points within range. Once it's done with the search it will display the wireless networks it finds. 7. Look for your wireless network. 8. If you see an image like this cattyrific_3.jpg tap on your network name and save your settings and begin a connection test. An image prompt of Connection successful would mean that you are now connected to the internet.
9. If you see an image like this cattyrific_4.jpg means your connection is locked with a security code. You need to enter your WEP key in order to connect to the internet. Your WEP key is the one saved in the settings of your router. Just type it in to begin the connection. When connection is successful you are now connected to the internet.
10. If you see an image like this cattyrific_5.jpg means your connection is secured with a WPA and requires a security key. You need to type in the WPA key to begin connection. Just enter the one saved in your router settings. When done it will connect you successfully and your now connected to the internet.
