"Error 11222" Apple is investigating reports of this issue. Proxies, certificate issues, or your Internet service provider may be the cause of this issue. To address proxies and some certificate issues: Windows:
Open Internet Explorer.
From the Tools menu, choose Internet Options.
Click Connections.
Under "Dial-up and Virtual Private Networking," choose "Never dial a connection." It may not be possible to choose this if you've never used dial-up Internet. If this is the case, skip to the next step.
Click LAN Settings.
In the window that opens, enable the option to "Automatically detect settings" if it is not enabled.
iTunes uses Internet Options proxy settings. Apple recommends removing proxy settings that interfere with access to the iTunes Store if needed.
Click OK.
Click the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to the Security section and look for the option to "Check for server certificate revocation." If it is enabled, disable it.
Look for "Use SSL 3.0" and "Use TLS 1.0." Make sure at least one of those two checkboxes is selected and click OK. (You can select both checkboxes).
Apply any changes and then restart your computer if you modified the option to "Check for server certificate revocation" in step 11.
If the issue is with a proxy you are unable to remove, contact the technical staff who support your computer or network, or try another computer or network. If that does not resolve the issue, follow steps in
Push the red button all the way in as far as it goes and turn the knob to the left (counter clockwise) past it's normal position. Then you can pull the knob out. When you replace it make sure that the pin part fits inside the slot of the shifting arm inside the tool.
Hi, if you are using windows then you can try to disable your firewall/security (norton, mcafee etc) once done reboot your system with them disabled and retry iTunes again, this will resolve your issue. Remember to enable afterwards.....
First and foremost - make sure itunes can reach the internet. You need to double check that your firewall is not blocking it - if you can check the exceptions in your firewall make sure itunes is one of the unblocked programs. Otherwise, disable your firewall and then try itunes. (PUT IT BACK ON AGAIN AFTER)
Second - there could be a registry issue - Running ccleaner might solve this error - http://www.ccleaner.com/ see if that helps.
It may be a problem located in microsoft explorer. Go to the connections tab in internet options, there is a LAN settings button, which when clicked allows the user to set a proxy server. Apparently iTunes can get stuck with the proxy settings in Explorer. I removed the proxy server and this seemed to solve the problem.
