I suggest that you start with the carb issue. Flooding is an issue with the inlet valve and float system. Get a rebuild kit and rebuild the carb. My bet is the unit will work correctly after that.

Gas spits out muffler


if gas is making it to you muffler that mean it getting way to much gas, but you would a ssume it would flood out. it could just be running out of your carborator and down the inside and seeming like its from the exhaust. end result check to make sure your carb floats are at the correct height or the motor get to much or to little of fuel

Honda generator leaking gas from carborator


that is your fuel drain screw so if you get any water in your carb you can drain it and it was loose thats why gas drained out of it
