To solve this problem, turn the tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Turn the tank valve on VERY, VERY SLOWLY (slow motion, slow). Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank and turn it to it's highest setting. Does the flame height now appear to be normal. If so, light the remaining burner(s) the same way. If everything has returned to normal, you've solved the problem. If it hasn't, then more thank likely your Propane Tank is empty or the regulator/hose assembly may need replacing. If so, you can purchase one at any home center or hardware store that sells gas grills and accessories. Juts tank your old one with you for comparison purposes.

I have frost on the line coming from my gas tank to the burner on my Charmglow grill. Do I need to replace the flow valve. If so, what part number do I order and from where? Thanks, John

You need to replace the grills Hose/Regulator Assembly. You can purchase one at any home center or hardware store that sells gas grills and accessories. They run about $30.00. Take your old one with you for comparison purposes.

To avoid this happening in the future. Whenever, you turn the tank valve OFF and it comes time to turn it back ON, turn it ON VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow). Doing it that way, won't lockup or blow the gas line regulator. It wasn't your fault, John (unless you didn't read the Owner's Manual). The new OPD tank valves, will shoot to high a pressure sometimes and either lockup the regulator or cause a small leak, like it did with yours. That's where the frost was coming from.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know and Happy Grilling!!

The burners are no longer producing as much heat. There seems to b low gas flow. I have cleaned the entire grill interior including the burners. They do not seem to e blocked with any debris.

Turn off your LP gas Tank. Disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reattach the hose to the tank. Turn the tank valve on very very slowly, until it's all the way ON. Now, try lighting your burners one at a time and the flame height should be back to normal. Just remember to turn the tank valve on very very slowly each time, after you have turned the tank valve off.

It that didn't solve your problem, your gas tank is probably empty. If thats the case, be sure you turn the filled or new tank on very very slowly.

Let me know if this helped get you back to grilling.

Charmglow grill, cannot get gas flow to multiple burners

There is no test for the regulator since they are factory set. Replace it that is your problem.

1. flame is the same, wether set at high or low. 2. turn on 3 burners and they almost go out. seems like there isn't enough gas flow to run even 3 of 5 burners

Make sure your burners are clean and not blocked with lava rocks or anything. If that's all good, make sure that you are turning the tank off before you light it. This is really important, b/c if you light it with the tank already open, there is a safety device on most tanks that won't let the gas flow. After you try relighting after having the tank turned off for 30 seconds, make certain the valve on your tank is working. Turn the tank completely off. Open the hood and make sure you don't smell and gas. Without turning the gas on at the tank, turn the knob to light, and see if you get any flame. If all of that checks out, It is probably the gas regulator. They are relatively cheap and easy to replace.

Low flame

try opening the tank really slowly. if the tank has an OPD (overfill protection devise) and you open it too quickly it will restrict the gas flow to the burners. hope this helps.

Frost accumlates instantly on a round metal thing with a hissing

This is a common sign of a leak and I would replace the flow control valve. If you continue to leave it on it will have very big problems
