I have a Samsung plasma tv Model PN50A550S1FXZA that starts up with clicking and popping sounds and all kinds of colors and shapes on the screen as it tries to warm up. is this a Y board issue?

Check the power supply, the high voltage circuit, which near where the plug-in from the 120 volts. There is a capacitor rated 450 volts at 100 uf (microfarad). (Could be more than one capacitors). The high voltage at the capacitor should be around 390 volts, anything less and you will need to replace this capacitor (or capacitors). Replace with a 300 uf at 400 to 450 volts. Got mine off some old power supplies.

I would imagine an item from a company such as this has a fuze or such to prevent damage from cross connection. The pop you heard is probably an internal fuze or overload unit going off.
They are online at samsclub for 39$ if you can't fix it.

Barrel turns no heat-new fuse-same-new element-same. Old element burned could new fuse pop and I need new one

Be sure to check for lint inside the filter housing and also vent blockage. 240 volts is going into the dryer. The motor runs on 120 so you might have a voltage problem. Heating element needs 240 volts. here is my video let me know if this helps:

Sony XM-1600GSD have low amps on middel fues and wont work

You are in over your head with this. There is only one fuse on the outside and it is the main power fuse. When you hook something like this amp to a power source for conversion from 110 there is a ripple current. The more the Sony pulls out of the converter, the higher the ripple current came be. That ripple can cause failure of other parts in the amplifier. Since you heard a pop sound. It is apparent that the components in the amplifier have failed. You are going to have to disassemble it and look for damage. Then you need to find that parts that are blown and then you need to be able to solder and replace them.

Car turns over slowly, wont start

Put a volt meter across the battery terminals. You need at least 12v there in order to get the starter turning. If voltage is less, have it charged and load tested then try again. If it still turns too slow, put the volt meter back on and check voltage while turning. If it drops below 9.5 volts while cranking the starter is likely at fault and needs replacement.
If you have a security system make sure you know how to re-arm it before removing the battery. Check the charging system after you get it started. and make sure belt is not slipping as well.

Amp messed up got 24 volts instead of 12 how to fix

Here is what I need you to do so that I can help you try to fix this. I need you to open up your amp take some pictures. I will need some of the overall view, then take two seperate picteures closer dividing the amp in half. They should look like one really big picture of the overall amp. Then finaly I need you to take some pictures of the problem. I am sure that witht the pop and smoke that you saw and heard you shold be able to find the problem really quick. With all of this and from the way is sounds this could be a really easy fix. onle last thing do you have a soldering iron, solder and a wet sponge.?

TV shut off and won't turn back on??

Sounds like my Samsung. Searched web and said to check the capacitor (good thing there was only one capacitor) rated at 100 uf at 450 volts. Measured at the capacitor - has only 380 volts. Have a 150 uf and 220 uf at 400 volts. (Samsung's capacitor was 450 v.) Worrisome, yes. Tried all combination, but only 150 uf plus the 220 uf would work. Measured 390 volts.
