Why not Google "specialized miniature screwdrivers"?

Have done that, all although small are too large. A #0 is too big. The slots are about the width of a razor blade and the endsof the slots are about 1.3 mm apart. Thanks

This might be easier if I knew what you were trying to take apart.

Electrolux Oxygen Ultra Vacuum Cleaner: What size torx driver is needed to open case?

If you treat yourself to a small set of torx drivers you wouldn't need to ask. Common size drivers for such work is numbers 10, 15, 20, 25 and sometimes 27.

It is worth mentioning lots of small appliances use a single anti-tamper fixing that is different to the other fixings.Tri-wing, like a phillips head but with three rather than four points, is a fairly common type but there are about half a dozen different types, some of which are available in two or three different sizes.

It is advisable those who take appliances apart own a selection of such tools.

Remove battery p55t-a5202

after you turn it off, unplug the adapter, close the display and turn it over. You will want to have a small jeweler's flat blade screwdriver, or similar, to pry out the 14 small rubber plugs from the screw holes. Then you'll need a #1 Phillip's-head screwdriver to remove the 14 screws. Carefully separate the bottom cover. There you will see the battery. It is plugged into J6001. It is held in by 4 screws and some wires that are taped/dressed to it.

Just to know to open up the back of this Lorus watch, to replace the cell ?

Watch backs open three ways, the first way is 1) by small screws you will see them and need to remove them carefully as not to strip the screw head, if there are no small screws the watch could have 2) a screw back, it will have indentations evenly spaced all the way around the back, if it is a screw back it has to go to a jeweler or watch repair for removal with a special tool. You must eliminated 1 and 2, then 3) would be a pop off back, you look around the edge of the back for one indentation along the back of the watch, use a pocketknife to gently pop the back loose. I hope this helps! thank you!

I have a Sony" Personal Audio System" /boombox.

Hi, this is a pretty common problem with C.D. players, the laser has lost a bit of its intensity. This possibly can be fixed by adjusting a very small " semi-variable resistor " this should be located on the laser assembly or on the ribbon cable just before the laser. It may be a colored plastic dial with an arrow on the top, or a metal looking screw type looking adjustment ( probably has a bit of enamel to lock in place-this breaks free easily). It may even be labeled " bias ". Use a small phillips jewelers type screwdriver for the plastic kind and a slotted jewelers for the metal. move the adjuster in very small increments one way then or the other if need be. Make note of the original position in case you need to adjust different semi-variable resistors. also its even possible to have a dirty lens, use a jewelers loupe or equivalent to check. a very light touch with a Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol should do the trick. use opposite end to dry, be sure to not apply excessive pressure-the lenses suspension is extremely delicate. I hope this was useful-let me know if so or even if not so I may try again. Thanks for asking FixYa-good luck, Prodzilla

Drivers power seat layed all the way back will not come forward...possibly the switch it will power back but not ahead I'm 100 miles from nearest KIA dealer unsafe to drive this way.....can some one tell...

I had this same problem. These symptoms occur when the switch contact points become burned... but the problem is easily repaired with some very simple tools and will save $200 in repair bills.
1. Remove the plastic molding in which the switch unit is mounted. It is easiest to remove the whole thing - 6 phillips head screws hold it in place. Depending on the seat position, it may be impossible to remove the molding without also removing the seat - 2 nuts, and two bolts - a 9/16" wrench will work fine. Unplug all necessary cables for the removal. They are all different and only fit one way, so they can't be confused.
2. Use a small standard screw driver (jewelers size) to carefully pop the back off the switch unit and carefully lift out the circuit card with the switches mounted on it.
3. Place the circuit card (switch side DOWN) on the edge of a table or work bench and firmly hold it in place while using the jewelers screw driver to very carefully pop the covers off of the switches. There are small parts inside, the slider, two small bearings, and two switch rockers, so just work on one switch at a time.
4. With the switch cover removed, note how the pieces fit together so you can reassemble later.
5. Remove all the loose pieces and burnish (polish) all burned or corroded contact points, both on the loose and fixed parts. The edge of the jewelers screw driver, a stiff eraser, a small piece of very fine sand paper, or a dremmel polishing head will do the job.
6. Reassemble the switch, and repeat with the other four switches. Though the other switches were working, I found them to also be burned / corroded and near failure. Better to fix them all while the unit is disassembled, than repeat again (and again) in a short period of time.e83a51f.jpg

Replace broked water actuator

You will need the new actuator, regular Phillips head screwdriver, putty knife, and jeweler's screwdrivers.
1. Go to this link to view the parts diagram.
2. Carefully peel part #14 using putty knife.
3. Remove 3 screws part #43
4. Carefully remove part # 4. Note, there are fragile plastic arms that snap into place to hold the top of part #4 in place. I used a flat jeweler's screwdriver to apply pressure to the arms so they did not snap off.
5. Once you have removed #4, you will be able to see the top side of the actuator. There are three Phillips head screws which hold it in place. Just remove those screws, install the new actuator, and replace the screws. Note you may need to remove three Phillips head screws holding #8 in place to get to the screws holding top of actuator. Do this carefully or the wiring harness which attached #8 to #38c will pull out which adds extra steps (If this happens, see below).
6. Replace all parts following the above steps in reverse.
7. I used a small amount of contact cement to restick #14 but it was probably not necessary.

If you accidentally pull the wiring harness from step #5 above out, you will need to remove the circuit board cover to replug it. There are 4 tiny Phillips head screws which hold the cover in place. Remove them using a jeweler's screwdriver, replug the harness, and carefully replace the cover.

Remote signal not received by Shift 3 projection alarm clock

1) Does the remote have batteries? See other posts that describe how to do this (4 screws in back need to be removed). Temperature should be displayed in small window of the sending unit if it's working.
2) Hold Channel button for 3 seconds until it beeps - the unit then searches for a signal.

Damaged keycap - aspire 3690

If you look very carefully - you should see 'something like' an H shaped piece of plastic that holds the key in place - this controls the position.
You need to prize the legs that meet with the key away from the centre (carefully) using 2off small jewel screw drivers (maybe 2 off paper clips)

Can't open case--screw holes are too small

Is it a Torx head - sort of 'star' shaped? Though a fine Jewelers x would have done it. There are also machine type screws that have no manual equivalent it seems, - just screwed for life- perchance these cases are of that type.

VGB3 leg lock broke

On the velbon vgb 3, the leg locks consist of a lever, one or two pieces of metal and a plastic piece. The metal and plastic pieces rest in a depression against the lever. When the lever is pulled out, pressure against the smaller leg section is released. When the lever is pushed in, pressure against the smaller leg section is exerted, locking the legs in place. On the back side of each joint, there is a phillips head screw which acts as a stop to keep the leg section from coming all the way out. When the screw is backed out, the leg section can be removed, exposing the latching mechanism. If the only problem is that the latch mechanism came apart, it can simply be reassembled. If, however, something broke and allowed the latch assemby to come apart, that will have to be dealt with as well. My guess is that the phillips screw may have become loose, and the latch came apart.
