Hi!!!

There are many ways to block unauthorized access to your home internet such as WEP security, WPA-PSK security,MAC Filtering or you can hide or disable SSID broadcasting.

For confirm soultion for this you need to provide your modem details - Its product number and version.

Also you can do is use step by step configuration guide which came with your modem. Thank You.

Can't connect to the internet

Hi,

You need to changed the channel number of wireless router, for that you need login to netgear router.

open internet explore and type there www.routerlogin.com then press enter,it will ask you for user name and password
typed user name as "admin" and password as"password"
now click on wireless setting which is under setup
now you can change channel into 09
now try to reconnect wireless

Thanks for using Fixya

How to find the security key? Can't lock it.

It maybe written on a label on the actual router - otherwise you will need to log into the router
  • to log into the router - connect to the router with a cable and then using Internet explorer type - 192.168.1.1 the enter - a setup page login screen will appear the user name and the password is admin
  • Now you can goto the wireless section and set a password - see the user manual below - chapter 4 - page36 - advanced settings

Can I use my acer aspire one wirless with bthomehub2. I can connect with cable

Not sure of what your issue is,you can connect to the internet by cable/DSL but not to your home wireless network?,or another wireless network? either way most wireless networks ask for a user code or password.Does the network appear with an open lock symbol or locked.Even if it's your network you have to grant access.Good Luck.

Wireless internet

Depending on the Router you have, you should be able to go to the config page from your computer.  You have to have it wired to your computer, not wireless, to make the changes.  In the config tab you should see wireless security.  Type the passphrase and save it.  All wireless devices must also use this passphrase to connect.
