One of my emails is lost from the inbox. I checked my trash folder on my iPhone. I found it and don't know how it reached there. I forwarded it to my email address. That email came to my inbox without any information in it. The email in the trash folder is also lost. How can I get that email?

Step 1. Run Emails on your device.
Step 2. Go to Inbox or Sent and tap "Edit". Select emails and tap "Trash", or "Move" > "Trash".

Step 3. Go to Trash folder and clean all emails.

If you're getting it in email, then look into your email to filter the trash.
I use earthlink and it has a spam filter which discards the trash.
Don't unsubscribe!! It will reveal to the sender that they have found a valid email address and keep it coming.

Check to make certain you entered your username and password correctly. Then, delete all your unimportant email from your "inbox" and your "sent items" folder, then empty your "Trash" folder.

Common reasons for missing emails;

Settings applied to incoming mail, such as a filter or forwarding

A configuration issue with IMAP1 or POP2 access

Deliberate or accidental human action, or possibly a compromised account

check all of your folders, trash, all mail, forwarding and POP/IMAP settings, and check your filters to make sure nothing is being stopped.

If you've deleted a message permanently, by clicking Delete Forever in your Spam or Trash, you won't be able to recover the message using the Gmail interface.


If you've moved a message to Trash, by clicking Delete, but it's been fewer than 30 days and you haven't permanently deleted it, follow these steps to put it back in your inbox:

1. Sign in to Gmail.
2. Click Trash along the left side of any Gmail page. (If you don't see Trash along the left side of your Gmail page, go to the Labels tab in Settings, then click the show link next to the Trash label.)
3. Locate the message you'd like to move to your inbox, and check the box next to the sender's name.
4. Click Move to Inbox.

If you feel that someone has been in your gmail, you can test this and see if someone from another IP has been in your mail! ( i really like gmail for so many reasons)

When you sign into your Gmail, look all the way down on the bottom right. It will show recent activity and IP addresses that have accessed your mail. You can also sign up for 'alerts' to unusual activity/sign ins from here.

Could you please clarify with more details? It's not possible without knowing the details how you deleted them. Did you delete them from the Yahoo!Mail or from Microsoft Outlook or from an email program?. I would suggest you to first check the "Trash", it's located below the "Inbox" icon. Click the "Trash" link to open it and check whether your May's emails are there or not. Never click the "Empty" which is beside the "Trash", doing so will delete everything in your trash folder. If you find them in the "Trash", select and click "Move" and then select "Inbox", whatever you've selected will be back to your "Inbox".
*Note: By default, emails deleted from the "Spam" folder are deleted forever. Also, emails deleted from the "Trash" are be deleted forever. There is no way that you can retrieve them, but if you access your Yahoo! Mail from email program/s like Microsoft Outlook or thunderbird, copy of everything is transferred to your computer.

First things first. Change your email password if you haven't already. You will want to check your sent folder for any emails you may have lost. Also check trash folder. Once you have located the emails you will want to move them back to your inbox or forward them to a different email account until you are sure that your email security issue has been addressed.
If the messages are not there you may want to check with your email provider to see if they have any way yo track down lost data. If you can give me the company your address is through I can look this information up for you.

If you canceled or deleted you can retrieve them in most web email clients.

• Go to the Trash folder.
• Open the desired message.
• Click Move in the Yahoo! Mail toolbar.
• Select Inbox or any other folder to recover the message.
  • In Yahoo! Mail, you can also drag and drop the email to any folder, of course.

Also you can serach on Yahoo itself by look at the left upper corner you can see a search bar if you
remember some info. from the sender.

It's possible, if it's been less than 24 hours since you deleted those emails to recover by filling out this form.

If more than 24 hours, and the Trash folder has been emptied, there would be no possible way to retrieve deleted emails.

Try to make a habit of NEVER emptying your Trash folder. The emails in that folder are deleted periodically by Yahoo!, so there's no reason for you to take that step.

Have you checked your email through a method other than the iphone to see if it truly is gone? The phone will only display so many messages at a time, maybe your previous ones are just "dropping off" the bottom of the list. If that's the case then they're still on the server, just not visible on the phone. You can view more by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Show. Hope this helps.
