I am changing an old circular Honeywell AC thermostat to a new Honeywell VisionPro TH8321U thermostat. There are two wires coming from the old thermostat and I want to know which terminals do I attach the wires to on the new thermostat?

Remove the batteries and remove the R or RED wire from the thermostat's sub base R/ RED terminal for 1 hour, if this does not work, replace it.

Honeywell 8000 Thermostat relay switch clicking noise.

It's an expensive solution but doable. Look for Honeywell's VisionPro IAQ thermostat. It works much differently than a conventional thermostat and shouldn't click at all make sure it's the 3-wire version.

yes it sound like either they wired it wrong or when theywent and configured the settings this obe did not take to the configuration correctly. Have the contractor come back and do the job correctly or replace the thermostat. Thinks for using Fixya

Honeywell therostat wiring help

Don't assume the wires at the thermistate are correct.

I had similar and had to go all the way back to the heat/AC controller board. I found the colors weren't attached per spec so was fighting the origional installation at the new thermistat.

Also some digital won't control mutizones proerly
