SOURCE: Need a wiring diagram for connecting KOSS HD 50 COmputer speakers

Hello there! lellya
First,
1) you have to tell , what kind of sound card you got? on board audio? A7, or Creative Audigy? 5.1 or regular.
2) then, you have to connect one speaker to the other, one two way connector cable, for the 2 KOSS speakers.
3) another cable that goes in back of your koss and from the out of your KOSS Speakers to the input of your sound card, at back of your PC, this input is your sound card jack.
4) its supose to work like so.
good luck

How do I connect external speakers

    Connecting Full-Size Speakers
  1. Step 1 Insert the red and white plugs on a set of RCA audio cables into the right and left audio "OUT" jacks on the back of the TV.
  2. Step 2 Connect the other ends of the cables to a free pair of audio "IN" jacks on the amplifier.
  3. Step 3 Strip 1/2 inch of insulation from the speaker wires, and connect a pair of wires to the left and right terminals on the back of each speaker using the red wire for the right audio connection and the other wire for the left.
  4. Step 4 Connect the other ends of the speaker wires to a pair of stereo speaker terminals on the back of the amplifier. The wires attach by raising spring-loaded clips on the back of the amp to reveal a hole for inserting each wire.
  5. Step 5 Set the amplifier selector to the set of audio jacks connected to the TV to enjoy stereo sound from the television.
  6. Connecting Self-Powered Speakers
  7. Step 1 Insert the RCA plugs on the Y adapter into the TV's Audio "OUT" jacks.
  8. Step 2 Connect the mini-plug on the wire attached to the right-hand self-powered speaker to the mini-plug jack on the Y adapter.
  9. Step 3 Plug in the audio cable and mini-plug from the left-hand speaker into the Audio "OUT" jack on the back of the right-hand speaker.
  10. Step 4 Connect the AC adapter to the power jack on the back of the right-hand speaker, then plug the adapter into an electrical outlet.
  11. Step 5 Switch on the external speakers and adjust the volume.

Pioneer 760W (Mosfet Power Supply) Amplier

If you are connecting the negative lead of the voltmeter to the chassis of the car, and then checking the voltage at the amp on the ground power input of the amplifier, then your amplifier is not grounded properly. The amp should also be grounded on the chassis of the car, so if you have 4 V DC on it, it can not possibly be grounded to the chassis. The chassis is the same potential at any point on the car.

Could it be that the 4 V DC is at the power terminals +B or positive voltage? That would not be an uncommon thing to have since the amplifier will hold some charge after it is turned off and that would be normal.

Since you have a voltage meter, you could check the current draw of the amplifier if your meter also have a setting for current or amps.

If so, connect the meter in series with the ground of the amplifier. That means to disconnect the ground wire at the amplifier, and use the meter to complete the ground connection by putting one lead of the meter on the ground wire that should be connected to the chassis of the car and the other lead to the ground terminal of the amplifier. It does not matter which lead you connect to the wire or the amplifier, that would only make your measurement i postive current or negative current, but the meter must be set up properly for current. Most of them have a diiferent jack to put the positive lead into for current. most have two different jacks. If yours does also, choose the lead with the larger amp rating. Most have 10A and 300mA, the lareger amp rating is 10A. That is 10 amps max and the 300mA means 300 milli-amps which is .3 amps max.
Do this with the amplifier turned off and the car off. If you measure any current at that point you do have a current draw with the amp off and the amp would need to be serviced by a professional. If you have no current draw there, the amp is not the source of your battery draining. This would find out for certain if the amplifier is really draining the battery.

If you have found this information help a rating of "FixYa" would be appreciated.
If you need more help just ask,

Dave

Cdr200 recording

Your CD recorder has 2 sets of phono (rca) sockets on the back. You probably have the outputs connected to your amplifier & speakers. All you need to do is connect your tape deck (or any source except for a turntable) to the inputs sockets on the back of the CD deck.

You might need to switch to external or analogue recording on the recorder.

If you are going to be doing a lot of this type of recording & want it set up more permanently, it might make sense to reconfigure your hi-fi. Shout if you want help with this!

you should be able to connect any pc to any home stereo device. you will need a special cable to connect them though. usually a local radio shack or circuit city type store will be able to help you. You will need a " Stereo Headphone to Stereo RCA " cable. ask someone at the store for one of these, explain what you are trying to do, and they will likely be able to help you as well. after you get this cable you can simply plug your computer into the back of the Speaker amplifier (usually called aux or line1) where there will be a red and white plug. set your amplifier to the Aux input and listen away.
