Question about Jensen Car Audio & Video

I have a Jensen JDVD-7700. When I try to watch a dvd I here sound but see no picture. The screen just says "stop watch dvd now" .How can I solve this. I see there is a wire that has to be connected to the hand brake switch, but I don't have a switch on my handbreak (old car) Is there a solution.

Connect the green (parking brake) wire on the player to the black (earth)wire on the player.

there's a green wire thats s'posd 2 go 2 the handbrake switch. Ground this wire 2 any ground of the unit and voala. Its a safety feature of the unit.

Jenson requires the green wire to be connected to the vehicle parking brake.(Safety feature) this green wire requires a negative switch to activate the screen.

contact jensen sounds like a faulty dvd player if still under warranty they should fix it for free

I connect my alpine cva 1003 to valor dv-169T dvd player. sounds come out but the screen is not getting connected to dvd player. i connect red, white and yellow wires.


if evrything is ok with the dvd (make sure the dvd is working fine), you need to hook up the yellow/ blue wires and yellow / black wires one for parking breack and the other for the breack chek the diagram on top of the alpine radio .

turn on the player, start the radio option, go into the setup menu, tap the language tab, ON THE REMOTE press "stop, stop, 5,4,3,2,1" This will bring up the secret menu, you do not need to connect the pink wire
