Hi there, if in case on your TV that the fuse is needed to solder out before it can be removed, yes you need to solder it out. But if it has this fuse terminals that you only need to tap it out better if thats the case. Some TV has this fuse terminal for easy access in replacing the fuse. if still needed to solder the fuse I suggest that do a little rewiring and put a fuse holder if available, if just solder the new fuse as is the same as the old one. hope this help, please rate and vote. good day

Standby power failure

If warrantee still good get new one if not check for broken solder joint on transistor works until it gets hot may need new transistor should have numbers on it., If to hot will need schematic. first get sodering iron and soder 60/40 remove all covers, get(freeze it) a can of cold spray and keep hands away from power supply board the board with the wall plug coming out of it and the thick wires connected to it. do not touch, Plug it in the wall and wait until it turns off, spray the componets that you think are the problem the cold will allow it to turn on for a while check the transistors first (little black box with three leggs) then the capacitors (the little blue barrels with the black lines on them) when you find the componet call the company for the replacement part find the manufacturing company on the internet they will have it.simply make a drawing of the way the componet was in the curcuit and put the new one in,tip on how to soder pull the soder off the roll about five inches, Place the hot tip on the leg and the board wait a second and drop the soder on the hot tip for just one more second, letting a small amount melt off.do this on each leg remember that a transistor has a ground,a hot, and a base,The cap has only a positive and a negative.Good luck

I have a Sony Bravia 32 inch, storm came thru and now it wont turn on, and the lights on front will not light up, where inside is the fuses, i opened it up, i see fuses, can i pull it out or is it sodered...

There is a fuse in the power supply board near the end of the board. The tv power supply board is it dead. That the board where the power a/c cord plug in.Power surge by a storm, change the fuse will not help the board to work.Because all those ICS on a power supply board are very sensitive to electrical static charges are dead already.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whloe new refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I HAVE A 32" VIZIO LCD I PURCHASED 2 YEARS AGO.

You should buy a sodering kit and remove the buldging capacitors yourself. Find a local electronics store, I used Radioshack, and see if they can match the capacitors. I had this happen with my Samsung lcd about a year ago and just help another friend with the same issue yesterday. The sodering is not as hard as you'd think. The capacitors should be under $5 v. paying a few hundred for the power board.

Could be,might not also, any things on the power supply board could be burn and dies, when it getting to much electricity current to it.Dead or dying capacitors on the power supply board are alway bulges or puffing up on it tops.Check the power supply board carefully look at all the capacitors parts,if require replacing,u must have tools like a soldering iron,a desoldering pump or a roll of desoldering braid,a roll of solders, also u must know basic soldering understand basic electronic to do it.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

This is power supply board problems, have dying parts call capcitors. Not giving the voltage anymore. That the board, where the power a/c plug into it.U have tools like a soldering iron, desoldering pump, soders. Can do basic soldering and know basic electronic.Check the power supply board for those dying capacitors, they alway bulges up on it tops or puffing up on it tops.Replaced these dying capacitors,tv will power up correctly and quickly.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
