Printing problems - i can only print manual feed...
Hi, I have a problem with my HP LaserJet 1022. Whenever I print a document I get a message that says HP Laser Jet is waiting for paper to be loaded: 1)Load paper in the manual feed tray 2)Press the GO or SELECT button
WHY do I have to do this for every page that is printed? If I have a 10 page doc I get this message every time and everytime I have to hit CONTINUE and press the button on the printer! PLEASE HELP!!

The manual tray is the is the one above the tray,
1-either your tray is set incorrectly must be set to Letter/Plain
priority is tray 2 not tray 1
tray one is the by-pass / manual
since this printer does not have a screen on it everything is setup through the PC.

This seems to be a problem on these printers. I have five of them on my network and I had to use a generic driver to make them stop shutting off the print spooler on my print server. I use the LaserJet III driver which is a good HP generic driver. I found it to be best to uninstall all of the 1022 software and install the printer using the above driver that is part of the windows operation system therefore there is no need to download one.
on printer properties try to set on sharing tab check marks on : share this printer- render print jobs on client computers- list in the directory ..( all of this must be chacked).. on port tab see on what port is printer ..(tcp/ip - or virtual), on advance tab.. check alway available, spool print documents first., under security see if you have set group permission.. if you did not ,, add the computers to use this printer ( in most cases this is the problem).... if all of the above s set , and you can still not able to print .. enter in run...services.msc... find print spooler and restart it .. then try to print.
You need to reinstall the printer driver.
First check which operating system is used with your product? After that download the software from Download Full Feature Software and Drivers. How to Uninstall the printer Software :- Follow the steps below to remove the hp LaserJet 1020 series software from the computer:
Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
For the Windows Desktop, click Start , click Programs or All Programs , and then clickhp LaserJet xxxx series .
Click Uninstall hp LaserJet xxxx series .
Follow the messages on the screen to remove the software.
Reboot the computer when instructed.

Click Uninstall hp LaserJet xxxx series . 4. Follow the messages on the screen to remove the software. 5. Reboot the computer when instructed.
After restart install the printer driver and follow the screen instructed.
Laserjet 1022 printe supports printing through the Laserjet 6L drivers and its tested, please select the same USB port for the Laserjet 1022 printer which is selected for the Laserjet 6L printer and then try printing.
