My sony mhc-rv990d dvd does not play or open or even react to comands. it has worked for the last 8 years no problem till beginning of this year. how do i resolve this?

This problems could be anythings wrong in it unit circuitries.Tries the unit unplug,replug it back like about an hour later.For the unit to do a resetting back to the factory setting.The unit should be working again.If still have the same result,the unit have dead circuitries board problems.This unit just a basic DVD player only wright?Yes,unit not worth the price to repair it.The basic DVD player only cost like about $40 only brand new.

No.its a full system whit o8<>8o these are speakers.and it has tuner and tape and game playing and mixing system.mine does not work good.reading time is very long.mp3 playing system is weak.but its speakers are very good.i,m asking myself why sony doesnt put a reset buton for this system.i love AIWA becuse it works like first time even after years.also this sony doesnt have AUX!!!! game mixing system is not imporrtant but Aux is.i think sony works just on its sound and video quality but the quality of made isnt good.speed is very important nowdays
