Question about HP DeskJet F380 All-In-One Printer

When I press scan, on My HP F380, it comes straight to Email save options, which I do not want to do, I wish to save it as a picture, what do I do?

You need to change the settings from

HP Solution Center

When you will open Hp Solution Center You will see settings under that Scan Settings and under that you will find save to option you can select the desired one from there.

Try to uninstall and reinstall the driver. If this don't not work try to use the software on your computer.
Use HP Solution Center, the software you download using the installer driver of HP.
Or try to scan the document using PAINT:

  1. Click Start , point to All Programs , point to Accessories , and then clickPaint .
  2. Click File , and then click From Scanner or Camera .
  3. Make any desired setting changes.
  4. Click Scan .

During the course of running a business or operating a home office, you might come across a hard-copy document that you wish to copy and customize to use in the future.
This can be accomplished in a matter of minutes, whether it's a professional looking invoice, fax cover sheet, or any other type of document.
There is no real technical expertise required to convert the scanned item into a reusable document.

Place the item you wish to convert in your scanner or all-in-one peripheral device.
Open the device's software interface by clicking its desktop icon.
Select "Scan" and then scan and save it as a ".doc" file or word processing file.
Open the scanned item using a word processing suite, such as Microsoft Word or Open Office. Review the scanned item to ensure all characters were properly rendered during the scan.

Save the file as an easy to remember name in the folder of your choosing.
Then press "Ctrl" and "A" simultaneously, followed by "Ctrl" and "S."

When you get information in your email account, you might decide to transfer the information to your hard drive.

You can also save an entire email folder, such as your Inbox or Sent folder, by saving or exporting it.
Saving an email folder to your hard drive is extremely easy.
Open your inbox and click on the message that contains the email folder.

Choose a location on the hard drive of your computer and click "OK" to save the file in that location.
Choose a name for the folder so you'll remember what it is.

Choose "Save" to save the email folder.

How do I scan from printer to an email address?


You cannot do this.
Scan the document or image and save it in a jpg file format.
Open your email program, and create an email to the person you want to send the scanned document/image with your message then go to file attachment and attach this document/image file to your email.
When completed you can sed the email.

My hp deskjet f380 is not scanning.


To scan, you need the HP Photosmart software installed (you can download it from HP at the link below). Start HP Photosmart, then put your original in the scanner and press the "Scan" button. You can scan multiple sheets, when you're done, click "done" and the files will be saved as JPEGs in the My Scans folder in My Documents.

Scanning docs with my Hp photosmart restricts me to send docs by email ONLY thru Outlook Do all scanners printers have this lack of option


HP Printer software is designed to detect only MS Outlook and Outlook Express If you are using the Scan to Email Option from HP Solution Center or HP Director. These are the only 2 mail client that you can Scan document or Pictures to Email ( as attachment while scanning )

How do i scan a document so that it can be saved on my pc?


connect the printer to your pc using usb cable .install the driver of the printer (hp deskjet f380 all-in-one ) . after complet the installation one hp solution center named one icon will come in desktop open that one and goes through the process (scan document ...>select where u want to scan ..>scan )

HOW DO I SCAN A DOCUMENT AND THEN E-MAIL IT. USING MY HP DESKJET F380 PRINTER AS I HAVE LOST THE MANUAL.


go to START / CONTROL PANEL ans select scanners and cameras. Double click your HP and follow the wizard. It will ask you to scan, save and what you want to do with these pictures. If your POP3 is set up you can select send in an email, else save it wherever you like and send it as an attachment in your email. Save it as a jpeg since the files are smallest.

Hp scanjet G2410 not sending email documents to outlook express


scan using Scanner and Camera Wizard

1.From "My Computer" right click the appropriate Brother FAX, MFC or DCP machine.
2.Select Get picture using Scanner Wizard.

3.Click "Next" at the welcome screen.

4.Select the save options that you require and click "Next".

5.The Wizard will now start to scan using the settings you specified.

6. Select the "Nothing. I'm finished working with these pictures" and click "Next".
The images will then be saved to the the location that you specified in step 4.

later you can attach the scanned file to your outlook express.

My canon printer wont scan my picture to my hp computer


You will need to have installed the software that comes with your printer for scanning and the other functions before these buttons will work.

There may also be settings in the software which dictate what the buttons will do that need to be defined.

I'd check your CD and see if there's anything you didn't bother to install originally and then see if that fixes the problem.

How do i scan a document and then email it


If you have installed the software of the printer already then you can use the hp solution center to scan a document or a picture. And make sure that you have save the picture or document. After saving it to your computer you can open your email and put the document or picture as an attachments
