I have a 1999 Toyota Altezza theres an orange light that comes up on my dash and my car looses power, do you no what this means?
Could be indicating reduced power due to the computer going to limp mode. It does this when one of the primary sensors is not getting info to the computer. You will need to have the car scalled for OBD diagnostic codes. This service is free at most parts chains, such as AutoZone. Write down the codes and get them to us for diagnosis and recommended repairs.
Sorry, I meant to say have the car "scanned" not "scalled"

Hi, this is your malfunction indicator.
Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r5932051-check_engine_light_check. These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.
It's your check engine light, it does not mean add more oil, so first off, hav your oil level checked

Hi Nicky, I had the same thing happen to my 2002. My Mechanic ran a diagnostic check on it on his computer and it was a failed electronic sensor wich affects the engine performance. They're not cheap to fix, but I've had no more problems. Hope that helps.
So you know the name of the sensor
