Question about Microwave Ovens
Hi, well, this microwave is beeping to tell you that it has had a component failure, and to "Get it serviced". What has most likely happened, and is the commonest occurrence in my shop, is that the Magnetron and/or the High Voltage Diode have "Blown". This is usually due to age or power spike and surges.
MW are one device, imho, that MUST be serviced by a professional, (MW's kill more servicemen a year than any other single thing!) So it is my professional advise is to contact a Samsung local or head office, and ask them for a referral to an authorised servicing center. Now, when there, FIRST only ask for a "Quote" as to the cost and type of repairs involved.
This way you can first make an informed decision as to repair or replace. i say this as many, many, clients of mine, these days, prefer to put any monies that may have been spent on repair, be put towards a NEW unit, with a full warranty. Further, new research has shown too, that repaired units will always fail again in average within 12 - 18 month after repair.. So?
