I recently purchased and installed the Kenwood KMR 330 Cd mp3 aac Marine Boat Receiver. It worked just fine on my first two fishing trips. However, on my last trip it just stopped working. It was working fine, until I went to change the station and it it went completely dead and will not power up. I tried resetting the unit have I have checked all three fuses, which appear to be fine. Could it be I have a defective unit or am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.

The back and top of the unit is getting very hot fast...like hot to the touch. I had a kenwood in there before so I just unplugged it from back and plugged into new unit. its in a jeep not boat

Hi, your issue can be caused by many thing. My first question is why did you change the first radio. Just because its the same brand, doesnt mean the plug or wiring is the same as the new unit.(unless its an exact replacement.) My first thing i would chk is the wires on your speakers. Most jJapanese eequipment for cars and such is 4ohm. If you wired two 4ohm spkrs in pparallel your load drops to 2ohms, which will make the system work harder and get very hot. I would try unhooking them and rreconnecting them one by oon. Hope that helps.

Is the metal plate on my Kenwood KMR-D358 Marine CD Receiver with Font USB suppos e to get hot?

Depends on how much sun is beating down on it and the amount of water it has been exposed to. Warm is ok, hot isn't.

Wont take the cd what do I do

Try unplugging it for a few minutes, plug it back in and see if it can reset itself . If that doesn't work you need servicing or replacement, depending on the cost.
