Where from can I buy some high quality industrial seals in affordable price?

It's quite obvious to face problems when we have plenty of options in front us, then we start asking different people regarding this, though we can get one conclusion for which we are seeking. Actually, it is good to ask or consult with different people so that we can get an appropriate information or an extra information. Along with asking different people you can search on google which is fruitful for you apart from this you can compare different companies quotes of wires and cables, what kind of quality product they were providing, price details and many more things.

"Ball Ceiling Fan" - hardwired wall switch only turns on or off, no speed control or light control, stuck on "high" and light "on" when switch is in "on" position.

The most likely cause (and the one I've always encountered) is the switch/controller nit wears out from electrical arcing that burns the contacts or temperature kills electronics on "soft" speed controllers

Assuming that this is a personal AC as opposed to industrial blower unit, see if you can manually spin the blower with the unit supposedly ON and running. Wear eye protection. It's possible that the motor burned out; there are LOTS of tiny wires in the motor coils.

My heritage 56 inch industrial fan gets very hot after a short time running i am very sure that it was wired correctly. just dosent make sense that the motor gets that hot.

mcdevito75 here, The fan motor should get very, very warm to a bit on the hot side, in other words not so hot as you can":t keep a hand on the fan motor. Also if you have other items on the same circuit as the fan, lamp, A/C unit this added load can cause fan to get hot, also wear and age on the fan contribute to heat. -------Check wall switch, feel if that is also getting hot or very warm along with the fan, if so you may need a new fan.

Can i put a dimmer switch on a floor fan? i just bought an industrial-type floor fan, but i don't need that much air movement all the time, how could i wire up a dimmer or potentiometer so that i could...

A potentiometer would overheat because when you tell it to turn the power down, it basically just runs the extra power through a heating element, which will probably catch it on fire for something that large. A dimmer switch changes the voltage that goes in, and is generally meant for incandescent lights. If you wired a regular old dimmer switch up, the motor would probably sound weird, and the dimmer switch or motor would break, possibly starting a fire. It's illegal to use a regular light dimmer switch on anything but an incandescent light socket. However, you can easily find a controller that will work. Look for a fan speed controller or motor speed controller. Make sure it's rated for the correct voltage and has an amp rating not exceeded by the fan's rating. These look like a dimmer switch but are designed to deliver the power the motor needs. See link http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=70801-539-SFSQ-FH-IV&lpage=none

With a switch it is always the hot wire (black or red one) that goes through it. If it doesn't work, it may be a faulty switch. They make everything in China now, after all.
