    Hey,

I just found an installation/programming manual for the Star Mail......

Go to www.wedophones.com, click on manuals in the upper right side, scroll down to Samsung, click on Samsung, scroll down and there it is. You can download it and print it out or just save it as a file on your hard drive. Good Luck ....Mike

Nokia Tips

`Your Nokia cell phone can be programmed to pick up radar speed traps, when programmed your cell phone picks up the radar and alerts you on the message alert tone. 1. Enter your menu 2. Select settings 3. Select security settings 4. Select closed user group 5. Select on 6. Enter 00000 7. Press ok 8. Clear back to normal, within a few seconds your phone will display a radar sign with five zero's next to it. It is now activated. Unfortunately only Nokia phones have this function. Cell info display needs to be de-activated. Settings -> Phone Settings -> Cell Info display Each time you turn off your phone, or even each time you loose contact with your carrier, you´ll have to activate it again... It is done by steps 1 through 5, but the number (00000) will be already on the field as default. If you put the number 500 in the closed user group, and you go out of a store with detection ports thy will go off. Newer SIMs have a feature called 'clock stopping' that allows the phone to save energy -- it is a kind of sleep mode for SIM cards. Not all versions of software support this. You cannot turn the SIM clock on and off, the phone will do it automatically if the SIM supports clock stopping.

I just bought a Radio Shack 43-3829 telephone answering machine. What does a caller need to do to send a message to a specific mail box? Right now all messages are going to the general mail box.

To put the message in a specific mail box, the caller needs to press *1, *2 or *3 (touch tone phone) before leaving their message. (Of course the answering system has to pick up before the key stroke.) Obviously the number corresponds to the mail box that will get the message.

So if you want to include these directions in your outgoing message, you would need to add something like "To leave a message for John press Star 1, for Sam press Star 2" when you record the ogm.

The manual for the answering system is available from Radio Shack. See http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2257360#tabsetBasic . The direct link to the English version of the manual is http://www.radioshack.com/graphics/uc/rsk/Support/ProductManuals/4303829_PM_EN.pdf .

I hope this helps.

My blackberry cannot recieved e-mail properly the attachment files missing very often, anyone can help please? Thankyou

Hi,

Is this a enterprise activated blackberry or do you have only the internet version? If you have the enterprise activated version than you can check if your Blackberry server administrator has some policies on the server that will prevent some types of attachments being opened on your Blackberry phone.
If you have the Internet version that the best thing to try is to ask the mobile provider to resend you the service books for your account.
Even with the enterprise version you can also ask your system administrator to resend your service books in case you have an corrupted service book.

best regards

Check the mike plug to make sure that none of the wires have broke off.I would also check the mike cable with an ohm meter.

Star Mail

Do you have access to the programming of the voicemail ? If you do then you need to change the date and time on the voicemail system. The newer systems actually get the time and date from the phone system but the older ones did not. Let me know and I will try to find a manual for the Star Mail and walk you through the change. Power hits do strange things to phone systems, you never know what will be popping up after the hit. Good Luck. ..Mike

Meridian M7310 phone system

We had a tech come in who has worked on the system a long time ago and he said because of the power surge it fried the Star Mini. He said they are hard to get and may have to search on Ebay. We only had a battery backup instead of a UPS.
So for now we are without voicemail.
