Hi.
I, too am a model train enthusiast, and I only get my supplies from one place.

A company called " model train stuff".

Here is a link to the part of their website that has the train motors, they only carry high quality parts, so that is why they only have 2 different motors listed.

http://www.modeltrainstuff.com/HO-Scale-Electronics-Motors-s/1967.htm

Neither one costs more than 17.29, so the cost is really good.

About 15-20 percent below normal retail costs, but that is because they are for the hobbyist customer.

I believe that one of those motors is an exact replacement, the E-R model motor.

The Kato brand is more of a generic replacement for all HO scale engines, but select whichever one you want to get.

I hope that you get your train going again, and good luck to you !!

Fan stopped working

Try to turn the fan by use of a long screw driver or other object. If it feels like it is siezed or getting very hard to move then the fan motor needs replaced. If it turns freely I would replace the capacitor and if that does not solve it then replace the fan motor too! Capacitors are cheap and fan motors are $80 to $120 average!

Agitator is not turning

1. You could have 2 issues here
a. the timer is not sending a signal to the washer motor to activate the wash cycle
b. the motor has stopped working and needs replacement
Some washers have a direct drive motor and the bearing usually wear the the circuit sensor stop the motor to eliminate any damage to the washer
The other motor if older is belt driven and the belt may have broken and will need replacement. Some motors just freeze up and lock due to age and need replacement.
I hope this helps. Have a good day!

The blower has stopped working! Tried the fuse but

check for voltage at the blower motor with switch on. if you see voltage there, but the motor isn't working - it needs replaced. if no voltage at blower motor, work your way back to the switch to see if it's working correctly.

The microwave stopped heating. Everything else is working fine.

Ok, concerning the heating issue. you will need to replace the Magnetron to restore the heating feature in this unit. this device is damaged.

Concerning the motor(circulation). If the motor is not working, this will damaged the Magnetron, due to poor circulation. i recommend replacing the motor asap.

In conclusion, you will need to replace the Magnetron and the circulation motor as well. replacing these two vital devices will fix your issues. the total cost for these parts are estimated at $87.90

Hello,

The blower motor, as you have probably seen, is under the dash on the passengers side. While in Park with the parking brake applied:

Turn the Key On with fan blower set to High. Locate the blower motor and wiggle the electrical connector. If this brings the blower motor to life, a new blower motor is needed. This, if applicable, is a common failure that matches your symptoms. The new blower is simple to replace, although it is never fun working under the dash.

If you have a 12 volt test light or DVOM (multimeter) you can check for power at the electrical connector. You should have battery voltage (12+) with the blower set on high. Always use a known good ground when testing for power. If you have power (key on, set to high) and no blower operation the blower motor needs replacing.

The resistor you replaced is a very common failure on these.

Give me an update.
