Question about Briggs & Stratton Plumbing
The pick up hose is not seated /connected properly to the pump or... there is a hole in the pick up hose above the water line. These are the only 2 things that cause this symptom unless the inlet for the pump is covered completely with debris. Check and see if some one lost the hose connection fitting gasket during the move between tanks. If your using a press fit hose to the pump... wrap it with tire wire or a large clamp so that it fits tighly onto the inlet. Check to make sure the hose is not dry rotted and cracked at the connection point also.
