SOURCE: need owners manual for mccolloch electric chain saw

This is a tough one to find, but after some research I found the full blown tech manual (this saw is of the late 1980's vintage!)

Anyway, here's a free manual - I suggest you print and save a copy as a pdf for future use and reference, as once this gets pulled off the site, I doubt you'll be able to find it again.

http://mcculloch.motoruf.de/spell/get_file.php?filepath=/Mipl/ps100ser.pdf

You can also try calling 1-800-521-8559 and ask for the parts deparment and request a copy of the owners manual be emailed to you in a pdf format.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

How to repair chain tightened on john deere cs 40 le?

If you haven't got your problem addressed yet, I'd like to help. I'm unclear on exactly what you're having problems with. Can't you get the bolts tightened? Can't you get the bolts loosened? Do you keep turning the bolts, but they don't tighten down? Also, you indicate your problem is with the owner's manual; is that because the manual doesn't address your problem? Try to be as specific as you can about the actual problem. Thanks.

What part number oregon chain do i need for a cs-52 john deere saw. They keep sending me the wrong john deere chain witch is three links short. thanks Vern.

Hello Sam;
I cannot find anything by Deere (probably an efco 152) about your saw. Oregon does list some particulars here:
Oregon Bar & Chain Selector
http://www.oregonchain.com/pro/lookups/selguide.aspx?BusId=OCS&SellReg=USA&LangId=ENG
I input:
John Deere; CS52; *see below; All (0.325"); All (0.050"); All (yours is likely green - low kickback).
*16" - 66 drive links (the part that fits in the bar).
*18" - 72 drive links.

If your saw does not use either 66 or 72 drive links I suspect the bar, drive sprocket, or drive sprocket and bar nose in use are not what the the saw was originally supplied with. Any local chainsaw seller/mechanic given your chain as a pattern can fabricate one in about 5 minutes. Often a local chain is less expensive (no shipping).

If you have more questions or need additional help please reply below and I will get back to you. HTH & Good Luck.
Lou
