Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
Hi, my autistic son cracked the hings on his DS lite and there is a small chip out of the plastic casing so it is no longer smooth. The item functions just fine, but to him the unit is "broken" and feels akward because of the chip in the plastic case. Can I simply replace the plastic case? If so, where do you find a replacement case (of course it would need to be exactly identical to the one he has - of course it's the pokemon edition! Yikes!)
A chip in the case???
to be honest, unless you have a degree in engineering its going to be difficult to just replace the case, you could call nintendo and talk to them about a repair, but broken hinges are considered physical damage, so if you were under your one year manufact warranty, you would be looking at about 57bucks

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
