I have checked the No and it is correct. There is also a service No DVF720XA1/A plus a Type No of 1216421121100. The dishwasher is about 2 years old.

ok first thing for some reason that model number keeps putting me to a de dietrich oven but you have it posted as a dishwasher so if you are having an over heat light on your dishwasher you would check either the element or the heat chamber due to the de dietirch site not recognizeing your model I am unable to see your unit but if your unit is a dishwasher is where you would start your tests these are the parts that heat the water in the unit and if there was a fault these are the areas i would start my testing most likely you have a heat chamber seeing as most of the overseas units do use a heat chamber so you would assure that the unit is getting power you would also check any fuses some units have a built into the door thermal cutoff switch that when it goes bad also gives you this error on some other types of brands if the thermal cutoff is working properly and you conducted a continuity test on the cutoff then you would remove the heat chamber and conduct a continuity test on the chamber as well message me back with your finds or if you have the manual to your unit message me back and il give you my email so that you can send me a copy I await your reply Thanks Rick

My de dietrich oven is not heating. the light and fan are ok

If the fan is working o/k, then the oven element is most likely faulty.
This is located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.

Light stays on in De Dietrich oven DOD438 all the time. It is in the lower oven. Stays on whether door is open or closed. Oven is new since May 2007

I too have just had this problem. The door switch (top right corner) is broken and the oven thinks the door is always open. Chances are it won't heat up either.

My De Dietrich is not filling with water - pipe is on and water available. I've been away for a month - just got back and tried putting on the dish washer but it seems that the water isnt getting through...

Yes, lots of ideas. You need to disconnect the water line where it attaches to the dishwasher valve and see if water is flowing. If it flows, then you either have a clogged inlet valve (there is a screen inside the valve that catches debri from the water line) that could of happen from a disturbance of the water service orthe valve is old and lost its ability to open upon signalling, or the timer is not sending the signal to open the valve, or the water level (float) switch is stuck and not allowing the signal to get to the valve.

Washer starts program but sound much noisier than

Suggest you check the water pressure out the pipe, then clean the inner sieve which is usually in the valve inlet. if all is clean and still little water enters, i would replace valve. Also, chech the pressure switch line an make sure it is not partially filled with water.
