My new lexmark 1200 is connected to my pc and electric the ink cartridges are in correctly but it will not print paper runs through fine but comes out blank

    I am a duffer when it comes to computers I tryed to get booted into the pc It said it wanted the printers configeration so were do i find that my printer is the lexmark 1200

    I have a lexmark 1200 I have been able to down load driver the photocopier works but not the printer the trial page had the third black line missing what do i do now please come up with somthing sensible but dont get jargony

First uninstall the older driver by going to Add/Remove programs in the Control panel. Next, reinstall the downloaded software and plug in the printer only when it tells you to do so in the installer.

If that doesnt work, try a new printer cable cable. If that still does not work, then you may have to take it in for servicing or buy a new one (whichever works out cheaper for you..)

This sounds as if the printer software didn't install properly. Try uninstalling the software, rebooting, the reinstalling the software for the printer. Then you will need to go in and readjust the printer settings.

Make sure that the printer is properly installed on your computer that's teh first thing you need to do, if its installed properly try to do a test print using the printer utility and see if it will work..
You can also turn the power and turn it back on and try tp do a test print agin ...dont forget to check the connection

If an error message is displayed on the LCD, take the corresponding countermeasure described
below.

There are no photos in memory
card.
There are only invalid images on the memory card.
Photo data edited/processed on a computer should be printed from the
computer, not from the camera.
There is no paper. Reload the paper correctly and press [OK].
The paper is jammed. If paper has jammed in the machine, clear the jam, reload the paper in the

run out. The function for detecting the remaining ink level will be disabled
since the remaining ink level cannot be correctly detected. If you want to

Lexmark 730 not printing


Regarding the Lex1 cartridge's no printing/severe fade (or similar) during printing, my answers are provided below:

Wont print


It could be that your cartridges needs some cleaning. Try to follow the steps below to fix the problem:
  1. Make sure your printer is connected to your computer and is turned on.
  2. From your computer, go to Start menu.
  3. Go to Programs or All Programs.
  4. Go to Lexmark 1200 Series folder.
  5. Select Lexmark Solution Center.
  6. From the Maintenance tab, select Clean to fix horizontal streaks.
Your printer will then print a test page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them from possible clogs and dirt. After successfully printing the page, try to print your document again to verify that the problem is fixed.
If that doesn't help, you can manually wipe the cartridge nozzles with a slightly damped paper towel. Then reinsert the cartridges and try to print again.
If the problem continues, then it could be a faulty cartridge. Try to insert a different known working cartridge or better yet a brand new genuine Lexmark cartridge. Lexmark products work best with original supplies.

My printer has plenty of ink but will not print properly


my lexmark is connected to my pc, my ink is more or less full it is making all the right noises for printing but the paper comes out blank...........please help its a lexmark 1200

Colored Ink problem


Make sure you are using the correct cartridges for the Z35. They should be #26 (color) and #16 (black).

Make sure the contacts are clean where the cartridge connects to the printer electrically. A little alcohol wipe is good for this. Clean contacts on both the cartridge and the carrier in the printer.

Printer doesn't print even with new ink cartridges.


Remember to remove the Seal Tape from the Top of the New Ink Cartridge as well as from the Bottom ! !

If a “Head Cleaning” cycle makes the Test Pattern worse, STOP.

Disconnect the Printer from the Computer.

Press the “Cartridge Change” button for ~ 3 Seconds.

When the Ink Cartridge Carriage travels to the Changing Position PULL THE POWER PLUG (NOT the “OFF” Switch). The Ink Cartridge Carriage should now Slide Freely on the Rail as long as it isn’t pushed to the Right so that it goes under the shelf to the “Homed and Locked” Position.

Fold up a Paper Towel (About 1 Sheet) so that its final width is about the same as the width of the gutter under the Print Head on the Carriage and so that it is thick enough when folded to contact and lightly press on the Print Head.

Saturate the folded Paper Towel with ~ 70% Isopropyl Alcohol and lay it in the Gutter.

Manually slide the Carriage and Print Head Over the wet Paper Towel. A slight amount of drag should be experienced if the thickness of the paper towel folds is Correct.

Let the Print Heads rest on the Saturated Paper Towels for a few Minutes or Hours. Too long a Treatment may pull out all of the Cartridge’s Ink: Check the Paper Towel Frequently to Assess if Ink is Capillarying out onto the Towel.

When the Treatment appears Successful remove the Paper Towel and Clean Up and plug the Printer power back in.

Run a Test Pattern via the Computer Connection WITHOUT first running the Head Cleaning Utility.

If the pattern isn’t OK, Try Running the Head Cleaning Utility to see if it makes it Better or Worse.

If Worse, Repeat the Alcohol Paper Towel Treatment: The Paper Towel may be Gently Pulled back and forth under the Print Heads to wipe them off.
