How much does it cost to register the roku activation

U pay nada for the account. But if you add applications that are priced, you need to pay for those - that is why they ask for a credit card number in the beginning - for "in case." But many apps are free so it should not cost you anything to have your roku up and running.

A Roku account is free. However, we ask for your payment information to provide you the convenience of making purchases from the Roku Channel Store on your TV. You will only be charged if you choose to make a purchase.
You will be asked to place a payment method on file during the account creation process. Your Roku account will let you access the Roku Channel Store, which has numerous channels to select from, many at no additional charge.
You can use the following as payment methods:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Discover Card
  • Paypal
It is important to know, only the above credit card types will work. Debit cards such as Visa Electron are not supported. If you do not have a supported credit card, it is recommended to use PayPal.
You can place a payment method on file by logging in to your Roku account and clicking "Add a payment method for Channel Store purchases" under "Payment Method".

Cant get to conect were do i put code

Hi! Based on your statement, it is safe to say that you have already connected your Roku player to your network and it's giving you a link code. To link the player to your Roku account, open a browser on your computer and access roku.com/link. It will give you a field to enter the code. Once done, it will then ask you to create a Roku account. You'll be asked to enter your credit card information, this is for your own convenience incase you wish to purchase a channel on Roku in the future. You don't have to worry because you won't be charged of anything unless you purchase it. A $1 will be hold off from your credit card as a confirmation that your account is active.

Once done, it will ask you to select channels that you want to add on Roku and then follow the instructions. Then wait for the TV to sync with the account. Then you're ready to go.

If you have any question or clarification, please contact roku support. visit support.roku.com.

How to hook up to roku

See this tip I have posted here on this site. >>> Setting Up A Roku <<< and read this, You want to try the Roku player so you can stream NetFlix to your TV over your home internet connection. It can be a bit of a hair pulling experience to set one up. So I'll try and make it as easy as it can be. First; Once you receive your player, and connect it to your TV. You need to get your new player on to your home network, be sure you have a router with wireless capability's. You will need to know the name of your home network, and you will need to know your WEB key or the pass key to secure your access into your home network. To do this, go to "Settings" (on the Roku menu) then scroll thru the menu until you see "Network", press network, look for your home network and press on it, then put in the WEB key to access your home network router. Remember after each step unplug the Roku for 10 to 20 seconds to set the memory.(may take more than 1 time with some players) NEXT; Go to Roku's internet site and set up your account with them, they will need info on how to bill you if need be. So they will need some bank account info Or you can use PayPal. They need this info in case you order a pay for movie or swap to a paid channel. Next On the Roku "My Account" page, down at the right bottom of the page you will see the "Link Player" button, follow this to receive your Link code, write this code down and go to your TV, Roku menu screen and put in the Link Code. This will now activate your new Roku player. Next you will want to go to NetFlix and set up an account with them. Same thing here, they need bank account info to bill you, if you stay past the free demo time limit. Now go back to your TV, Roku menu and scroll thru the menu to press on NetFlix, here you will go thru the Menu to get another link code. This time it will come on the TV, Roku menu to go back and put that code in your NetFlix account to activate your Roku player with NetFlix. Now in the process of all this you may have to unplug your Roku player after each link code to set it into memory. This causes a lot of folks trouble as they do not, "Turn Off" the Roku after they put in the network key, the Roku link code, then again after they put in the NetFlix link code. One last bit of help. Do not create a large Instant Queue on your NetFlix account. This causes problems with the memory usage in the Roku player, and It can keep NetFlix from loading.

I went to ROKU.COM/ LINK as asked and I dont know where to intrduce my code.

The www.roku.com/link is an address mistake. Once you have your new Roku setup on your home network, it will ask for the code from Roku. You have to go to the Roku site and set up your account where you give them your billing info. they need this in case you order some "pay for view" Chanel. Once that is done. Sign in to your account and on your account page at the bottom right of your page will be the "Link a Player" link to get your code, you then put in to the box on your Tv screen.
