See this link and then see part number F36 for the thermal fuse location and description - verify your model number:

Frigedaire affinity dryer will not start

Not familiar with this one but it has to check door switch and most have a thermal fuse (start fuse) located near or on the blower wheel that goes bad. Check with ohm meter.

How to get the error code test on Frigidaire affinity model FARE1011MW

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand you are receiving an error code on your Frigidaire dryer, model# FARE1011MW. I see that when you press the start button, your dryer beeps and the drying light begins flashing. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Sometimes there can be a miscommunication between the different boards inside your appliance. Restore power and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

So, i changed the ingnitor in my affinity gas dryer, it runs through the cycle now, but still no heat?

Most of the time it's the thermal fuse and not the ignitor. Check the fuse for continuity. It's the thin white fuse with 2 wires connected to it.

I have an Affinity Dryer that works for the first 5 minutes, exactly, then in flashes AD. It continues to spin but not dry at that point.

Problem is going to be with the thermistor located on the blower housing at the front. You will see 2 plastic pieces with wires going to them. The thermistor is the one on the left. Cannot jump this out all you can do is change it.

My Frigidaire Affinity dryer stopped working after less than 2 years. No lights, nothing. I checked our fuse box and everything is fine. Is there a fuse in the dryer that needs to be replaced or reset?

there is a couple of thermal fuses that you can check inside the dryer chances are it is the one that is located one the back wall behind the drum

Dryer shuts off, no heat, AD code

During normal operation, the display may show: “ad” - dryer is in an auto dry cycle. “dn” - cycle is done in auto dry. “PF” - a power failure to the board has occurred. “Err” - an error has been detected. “LOC” - control lock is activated. “PAU” - cycle has been interrupted.
