Engine miss at low rpm, starting out is not throwing a code

I have seen it done. The shell is removed to the points. A probe is inserted in the cylinder hole for #1. When the piston is clocked to TDC the breaker plate is locked when the piston touchs the probe and provides continuity. Some engines may require a few timing degrees either BTC or ATC. Throw in new points to eliminate the low end miss as weak spark at low rpm may not flow good on worn points.

Relist on outboard motor or boat section of Fixya.

check your catalytic converter, it may be plugged up

Check intake manifold vacuum with a vacuum gauge. Should be 17-21 inches. Low vacuum 10-15 inches would indicate a bad cat. Or you can remove the oxygen sensor and drive it. If the power is better you have a bad cat. Misfires can melt the cat converter.

cylinder 1 getting too hot causing ceremic crack could have wrong heat range plug in which spark plug too hot.or need replace spark plug wires.one plug wire could be bad best replace all spark plug wires.

Code 37 is torque converter clutch solenoid failure. Transmission wont shift in and out of overdrive.

It can be issue with IAC( idle air control valve) causing the problem.

There are many other possibilities causing these idle issues.Engine idles rough.

The engine coolant temperature is high. Your other Codes are for missing cylinders on cylinder 1,2,3,and 4. Get the Codes cleared and start over. Changing the plugs and wires,etc could have generated the missing cylinder Codes.

Autozone,Advance, and Oreilys will scan for free.

Check your engine for an IDLE SPEED CONTROL SOLENOID, which may be in the intake. Or a fuel pressure regulator.

A lot of times people work on the spark side and forget the fuel injectors. They can cause a miss.

Dear sir , Hyundai verna fault code p1186 we check found warring and couplers was ok and we replace injector and fuel rail problem was not resolved, cold starting engine vavrection and rpm stack and white smoke and hot conduction normal but rung conduction engine vavrection and missing no accelerator is working please suggest

Do you have an after market air intake that uses an oiled filter? If so - you could very well have fouled the MAF sensor again. If not - you could be having a misfire condition - which will throw a code and trigger the SES (Service Engine Soon) light. Any major auto parts store will have an OBDII scanner and will be able to read the code and clear it.

no the code is most likely from a dpfe sensor for you egr system not the egr valve itself.a clogged fuel filter though might cause your low revs
