Question about Samsung Prostar DCS Phone

Star Mail Thank for getting back...actually the problem is with the Samsung Star Mail system...On Saturday the system thought it was Sunday so the phones did not ring, only the flashing green light on the phone panel lit up...before this started we had several power outages on the same day...the phone is correct and works fine during the week, only the last 2 Saturdays is when we have had the problem. We unpluged the Star Mail box to allow customers to leave messages and the green light to flash...

Do you have access to the programming of the voicemail ? If you do then you need to change the date and time on the voicemail system. The newer systems actually get the time and date from the phone system but the older ones did not. Let me know and I will try to find a manual for the Star Mail and walk you through the change. Power hits do strange things to phone systems, you never know what will be popping up after the hit. Good Luck. ..Mike

From the phone connected to jack 01, press PROGRAM and dial 0YYMMDDWHHMMA STORE
Where W is day of the week with Sunday-Saturday being 0-6 and A=0 for AM or 1 for PM

Deleted main voice mail


you will need to have the admin program and a cable to connect to the system to re-make the mail box 990 or call a forwarded phone and get their voicemail box and press star and log into mail box 999 and create the user 990. If its older and you have a keyboard and monitor simply make mail box 990 and turn on DND.

Day to night mode


I think this is fixable by customer level programming. You're going to turn off the Automatic Time Switching (101) and make sure the sytsem is in night mode by pushing the INFO button.

From the main console, press PROG **1234 and dial 101 for system program. Press SEL and ENTER and EXIT as this changes Auto Switching to MANUAL. Now, if the system is in nights, as it should be, you don't have to do anything else until you get back. If it isn't, dial *7801 on the intercom to force it into night mode and you're done!

Meridian M7310 phone system


We had a tech come in who has worked on the system a long time ago and he said because of the power surge it fried the Star Mini. He said they are hard to get and may have to search on Ebay. We only had a battery backup instead of a UPS.
So for now we are without voicemail.

Change Time


Set Date and Time Display

Press Trsf and then dial 505
Enter the new time and date using the format
Day of week 0 sunday 6 for Saturday
month - 01 for Jan. and 12 for December.
Year - last two digits of the year
hours enter # range 00-24
minutes enter range 00-59

Verify time
press trsf to store and exit or press SPK to store and advance to the next program
