I am having the same problem with an amp that turns on for a second and then turns off. got it to flash onthen off when i jumped the pwr to the remore. does the amp itself have to be bolted to the frame as an additional ground?
any other ideas? fusable link?

The way to start is to ck your battery for 12V & clean bat terminals. Ck the ignition fuse &locate & ck the starter relay for power & ground. Jump the relay between the 2 conn (pwr/grd) See if you start.. Key on If OK r/r relay, If it doesn't work, follow the RED wire to the starter & ck for 12V there. Also ck for a good ground conn at the starter (both with good readings & clean conn. If all is well there when someone else is turning the ignition key to start, then the starter is NG If readings at the starter NG, relocate the starter relay. Good luck, Frank M
definitely check ur belt condition and tightness..very important.. also wiggle or pry on pwr steering pump pulley to make sure ur shaft hasnt broken .not hard but few wiggles w long prybar should do it. very possible u have a bad pwr steering pump. no pressure in system, or very old burnt out unflushed fluid,dirty fluid.not common.
I have an 02 Santa Fe with 5064 radio. Here is what works for me. Key to ACC.
PWR on radio to OFF (display time only).
Press & hold { 4 D- } & { DISP } button simultaneously for about 3 seconds. Time will blink. If time does not blink, turn key to OFF, back to ACC & start over. With time blinking.... Press { TUNE/SEEK UP } (double arrows) button to get desired hour. Press { TUNE/SEEK DOWN } (double arrows) button to get desired minute. Once set, wait a few seconds for time to stop blinking & your done.
the fuse for the front lighter is located under hood in fuse box it is labled AUX PWR and is a yellow 20 amp. The second power outlet/cig lighter is also in this box and is labled PWR OUTLET and is a grey 25 amp fuse.
If there are two wires running from the power button on your case to the motherboard, take them off and try jumpering those two terminals with a jumper or something that will make contact for just a second and them take back off. Your power button may have fried along with the power supply.
Your fuse panel is located by the emergency brake.Depress the two tabs and the fuse box will swing down, the panel diagram is written on the panel door.
