Question about JVC GR-D70EK Mini DV Digital Camcorder

GR D71Ek When connected to the PC the PC does not pick up the camcorder, have tried on numberous pc's , so you need the origianl USB cable or will any cable do? thanks

Any cable should do, have you tried the back of the pc's usb ports?
try another pc?

Nothing pops out


You may have the cable that comes with the
camcorder has built in filters
and also
When connecting the camcorder to a PC
using a DV cable, make sure to
Connect the DV cable first to the PC, and then
to the camcorder.
Connect the DV cable (plugs) correctly
according to the shape of the DV connector.

Im trying to transfer viedeo from a JVC GR-DVM96 vis usb to mini usb. Do I need to use the dv port?


Hi, connect the cam and PC using 4 pin firewire cable (not USB cable).
Switch on the cam.
Open Windows Movie Maker and import the video from device.

Well I'm afraid not the cable don't not come in such of a way either cause they are different type of cable, but what u can do is buy an external fire wire card for yr PC it comes in PCI format for yr desktop PC. because camcorder in these days do not use USB cables due to the cause that fire wire cable is much faster than the USB ones.

PC can not regconize Camcorder


Hi, Beside the dv cable, your PC must have a firewire card. USB connection is no good to transfer video to your PC. I have no problem with windows XP. See http://www.videohelp.com/. good luck
