Question about Lexmark Pro901 All-In-One Inkjet Printer

Open Question

The printer will not print in color. Doesn't matter if I printing from the computer or using the copy function. I replaced the color ink cartridges and still the printer does not print color.

SOURCE: Won't print unless all ink cartridges have ink.

Try changing it in the properties section under device settings
or go to color management if you have it and change the setting to black only,.

There is no way to know for sure without testing it but I would say 95% of printers won't

Hp 4480 how do you unpause it


The HP F4480 likely has a malfunctioning ink cartridge which is causing the printer hang (i.e. internal micro-electronics damage inside the HP 60 color or black ink cartridge). You can verify the electrical condition of both HP 60 ink cartridges by activating the Tap 41 diagnostic test report (see video here for complete instructions):

    1.While holding the Power button, press Cancel (X) button 4 times, then press the Color Copy button once.
    2.Release the Power button.

    Providing the color cartridge is partially functioning the Tap 41 diagnostic test print will be printed (this is a forced service print test which is mainly used for the evaluation of ink cartridge electrical health). A good HP 60/60XL color cartridge should display 1248 good nozzles, while a good HP 60/60XL black ink cartridge should show 336 good nozzles. If the results yield anything different then the ink cartridge is likely damaged and will need to be replaced. Refer to 2nd video on how to read the printout.

    If the printer attempts to print the diagnostic test pattern (1 page) then the printer is generally considered operational and functional, if nothing is printed, but the printer attempts to print the pattern, then the tri-color ink cartridge is either empty, clogged or severely electrically damaged (black ink cartridge is not used). You can remove the tri-color cartridge, reactivate the tap 41 test and the printer will print the diagnostic test print in black ink.

You can validate the HP60 ink cartridge's electrical health by running the 'Tap 41' diagnostics test (this procedure is specific to the F2480 model). Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TAP 41 video procedure at the following link on how to activate and read the service test: http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=440

Why won't my Lexmark 5600- 6600 Series Printer print in color?


It could be the print setting on the application where you're printing from. Before you send your print job and hit "Print" button on your computer, check in the Printing Preferences and make sure it is not set to print "Using black ink only.".

Prints ok from computer but when I make a copy, the copy is blurred.


Can you please remove all cartridges, and put them back and perform a quick calibration? I will fix the issue. Also please make sure use a good ink cartridge, the refill one does create this issue. Upgrade firmware will be the next step if quick calibration doesn't help. Please let me know.

Cant get my canon mx330 printer to work


Multifunction devices usually require two separate inks to acquire functionalities. For example, an empty ink cartridge especially the color ink may still produce copies without multi ink features. However, any attempts to dismaunt the ink cartridges would require restorations from the computer settings. First, inspect the printer for empty accessories that require replacements. After acquiring and replacing ink cartridges makes way for the next processes. Second, connecting the printer that has been restablished would produce display results requesting printer copy allignments. Attempt to print a document to produce the results for alligments. If problem is same after running a self test from printer, then prob. you have clogged nozzles; remove cartridges and soak (surface) of head into hot water for 20 sec. and test over a tissue. Repeat untill ink is seen on tissue.

If no use, then make sure you have enough ink in the cartridges. Otherwise, refill or replace.

Cant print black or do black and white copies


He's not saying that the black cartridge won't print (which would warrant cleaning the heads, or messing with the cartridges) -- I have the same problem that MarkDan is having as well... no matter what you select as the output from any "Print" dialog window, the HP 21xx and 12xx series printers _always_ print in full color. You can choose Black and White, Greyscale, Color -- doesn't matter what you choose in the dialog boxes, it utterly ignores you, and will always print in color.
I have no idea why it does this, but it's eating a _ton_ of color ink for no good reason. I have searched all over the Web and on HP's site, but solution has been found.
