There is a sticker on your trunk lid. Not very large with 5 numbers on it. on the side, towards the window more... On my car it was a white sticker with black numbers on it. That is where the original builder put the key-less code number. That number will always work.

If I had a phone I would take a pic and send it to you...but if/when I get a phone I will post it.

Can i reset my keyless entry code if I have forgotten original code

The MASTER CODE for your keypad entry (I believe that is what you are talking about) can be found on a sticker on the hinge of your trunk, passenger side. It will be five digits.

Trunk wont unlatch with keyless entry remote or trunk release button on door on 1997 lincoln continental

It sure sounds like a fuse. You can check for proper voltage at the hot wire of the actuator while you try to pop it. I think you are overlooking the fuse. Make sure the actuator has a good ground as well.

Is the igntion key code and the keyless remote code the same if so where can i find it looked under trunk

You do not say what kind of vehicle and why the dealer could not issue a new key using the VIN. I know of no manufacturer that writes down the codes anywhere in the vehicle. The keyless entry is controlled by it's own module and is verified by the main computer. The ignition key carries the code on it, and is verified by the ignition module. A good locksmith shop should be able to make keys for you.

I forgot the keyless entry code lincoln continental 1996

Hello! You have to get your documents together, write down the VIN # and go to the dealer. They can help but it might take a day or two for Detroit to answer.

How to change keyless entry code when I don't know the current

Open the right/rear door. Pull the rubber weatherstrip back from the door opening. Fold the right/rear seat back down into a locked position, in order to access to the right/rear trim panel. Carefully, pry the right/rear upper trim panel housing the right/rear seat belt height adjuster. Now carefully pry back the lower trim panel taking care now to break it, exposing the vehicle security module with three connectors plugged into it, coloured green, blue, and grey. Look on the label that has the part number which should end in EB. There are FIVE numbers to the right of that number. Those five numbers are your keyless entry keypad code.

I just bought a 1995 Lincoln Continental. How do i reprogram the keyless entry on the driver door

After entering the 5 digit code that is currently installed, press the 1/2 button and enter your new 5 digit code. After entering your new code, press the last 2 buttons (7/8 + 9/0) at the same time. This will confirm your new code has been accepted. Keep in mind, in case of loss of power, the keyless entry will revert back to the original code. Best of luck.

Need the factory keyless entry code to reprogram drivers door keypad. Owners manual insert is no longer available.

Check inside the trunk lid for a label with a 5 digit code. If unsuccessful, then any dealer would be able to help you by checking the VIN number.

Need help programing two keyless entry remotes

Enter the keyless entry code on the door keypad 3 times. Locks will cycle down and up after the third time. Press and release the "lock" button. Locks should cycle again. May need to hold down lock button for 2 sec rather than press and release. Program up to 4 remotes. If cycling the key on-then-off works, you'll probably have to do it quickly 8 times and after the 8th time, locks will cycle down then up and press and release the lock button.

Locked both sets of keys in my car

I have heard rumors that there is a number on the frame underneath the passenger side of the vehicle. Supposedly the last four digits are the unlock code. I will research and post further. You can take the VIN number to a Ford dealer and they can cut you a new key for a nominal fee.
