Question about RCA Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

I bought an RCA RCD175 boom box about a week ago. The cd player worked fine the first couple times I used it. Then one morning, it just stopped working. I can hear the cd player making noises, but it says ncd on the screen and won't play ANY cds now. Is there any way to fix this? I would exchange it, but can't figure out how to get it back in the box. Please help.

SOURCE: CD player won't play disk and says "no disk"

The problem of "'no discs'"displayed is in the mechanism in the roller thats moving back and port bringing the lense set .The old grease thier is already hardened that cause the problem.Clean that by using a lighter fluid or like that fluid to take the old grease, and put it with a new one first class grease type-A grease put only a little grease and wipe the lense with a cotton buds without any chemicals on it .Try this solution so performance will be better.

SOURCE: Lens Knocking Against The CD - All CDs skip or diginoise then fail.

Take the small back cover off and take some electrical grade contact cleaner and spray all around the lens area, that worked for me.

SOURCE: Denon DCM 390 not longer reads discs--HELP!

Hi there, this lens may be dirty or it may have a thin layer of heat film that is causing it to not read in a consistent manner. i would try to clean the lens with a good CD lens cleaner. if the cleansing doesn't restore the lens to its original reading state, this will confirm lens assembly failure and you will need to replace this assembly.

Cd player on boom box

Hi I don't have a boom box, but i do know a little bit about CD players, and i think first the CD you are putting into the player as to be a proper bought CD, you know official CD, if you have done that, and still have the same problem, then its because the laser light is faulty, which basically means the CD player needs replacing.
