If the new batteries were put in the correct position, you must reset the base to synchronize with the mouse. Push the reset button on the base.

If you are sure the batteries are new and set in correctly I would consider a new mouse option. Check and make sure that the batteries are installed and connected to the ends properly and there is a connection showing, Sometimes the end where the batteries connect may be dirty or worn to where the batteries do not have a good connection. Thanks for using FixYa! John

Logitech m205 won't work, the light keeps blinking

If your unit is a wireless keyboard only, then there is a button on the bottom of the keyboard and another on the receiver that is plugged into the usb port of the computer. In order to calibrate the system when it looses its signal, you have to press and hold both buttons down at the same time for 30 to 45 seconds. That means press the button the receiver and the button on the bottom of the keyboard at the same time and hold them down for 30 to 45 seconds. This will revive the signal and bring it back to working condition.

If your unit is a wireless mouse and wireless keyboard then there are probably 3 buttons involved that need to be pressed and held for 30 to 45 seconds at the same time. One button on the mouse, one on the keyboard and the last on the receiver.

If you press and hold the buttons down as explained above, it will correct the problem.

Logitech Corded optical mouse: ? batteries

If it is plugged in to your computer, it won't have batteries. Only wireless mice do.

I assume it's a Laser Mouse? If so, try plugging it in to a different USB port. Also try cleaning the laser, making sure it's clean of dust and dirt, also check the surface it's being used on as it doesn't work well on different surfaces! If it still doesn't work, then it's probably a hardware fault - chuck it out, time for a new one!

Hopefully I've been of some assistance!
