Question about Cameras

1 Answer

Dear Sir/Madam I have a Canon powershot A 80 and it now does not display an image for taking photographs but does display recorded images from compact flash card. I was reading that it could be a defective CCD imager! How much does it cost to fix it. Is it worth my while getting it fixed?? I live in Ballymena. Northern Ireland. Thanking You Gillian Newell

Camera's switch must be placed in the position to take pictures, not to view them. I don't think to be a defective inside the camera. Try it more before get to repair it.

Flickering image on LCD lens of my Canon S410

By the sounds of it you have a bad chip on your camera system board. If the image records okay and displays okay after the image is recorded. Other than having your camera repaired you may have to use your camera as is.

BLACK SCREEN ON CANON POWERSHOT A75

If the camera comes, the lens comes out, but no display, push the DISP button on the back. If it will display previously recorded images, but not take new ones, the CCD could be repaired free by Canon. Go here for more details: http://www.imaging-resource.com/badccds.html
