Question about Panasonic Microwave Ovens

1 Answer

I've got a panasonic microwave genius NNS562BF that has lost all power...and it's not a house fuse problem...the problem is somewhere with the microwave. Is there a fuse inside the microwave I could check? There is no power to light display or anything. What is the cover inside the cooking area on the right hand side?....is that a fuse? Thanks

No power to my Panasonic microwave

assuming u have pwr to the plug - and nothing lights up = it is probably a bad transformer - open thermal fuse.
WHICH was probably caused by a shorted mag, which means junk.

My Panasonic genius sensor 1250W microwave has stop working, now is their fuses i need to check,or is their a way i can, check the heating element to see if i us out.

Kevin,
There is a fuse in a microwave. One way you can tell for sure if the fuse has blown is that there will be no lights or any activity when you push buttons. The screen will not light up either. If that is your case, then you can be fairly certain that your fuse has blown. I would suggest before working on it that you plug something else into the same outlet and see if it works okay so that you can eliminate that you lost power in your outlet. If all of that is okay, then turn your microwave around so that you are looking at the back and take out the screws that hold the cover on. Remove the cover and look at where the power cord goes into the back of the unit. Find the black wire from the power cord and follow it to either an inline fuse holder, or a fuse block, or a circuit board. Depending on your model, you should have one of these three options. Make sure that you replace your fuse with the same amperage fuse that you take out. Look on the metal rings at each end of the fuse and that will tell you what amp fuse you need. Hope tis helps!

Panasonic Dimension 4 Genius problem

An internal fuse may have blown or the magnetron may have failed

My Panasonic microwave, Dimension4, The Genius, will not keep running after start button is pushed. It runs for only two or three seconds.

There is a thermal fuse that monitors heat from the magnetron, sometimes becomes defective, the magnetron "heats food" filiment will open on occassion, if the exhaust fan is not running microwave will shutdown.

My Panasonic The Genius microwave just stopped working not getting any power to display. Wondering if it is the fuse and where that would be located.

HI, if this unit is totally dead, this may be a power inverter issue. there is a fuse located on this board inside the unit. you will need to gain access to this board and fuse by removing the outer cover. there should be a few screws on the outside of the microwave to remove.

Check the In-line fuse for its value. if the fuse is good, replace the power unit(inverter board)
