I am having exact same problem.

A terminal tab is pushed in, will not pop back out, and the wires will not stay inserted as a result.

Is there a product like WD 40, only for stuck terminal tabs. Mine are stuck on Bose Lifestyle 8 Series 11 .

I was able to pry the stuck tab open with a small flat head screwdriver. After a number or repetitions of that process, plus some repeated pushing on the tabs, they started working normally.

more than likely your speaker terminals are broke. Those type of terminals have springs inside to push them down onto wires. more than likely the terminals will have to be replaced.

Never use WD40 or any other petroleum product on anything electronic including the terminals. You may have to remove that terminal and repair or replace it. Good luck.

How to put together a double cube bose speaker

The Bose speakers with the cubes and bass module are all interconnected with a proprietary cable available from Bose, if lost you get a replacement by called 1-800-444-BOSE.
When you connect the speakers all wires run from the receiver to the base module first, then out to each of the speakers. All terminals on the bass module are labeled.
The Bose cubes are all identical and can be used in the front or back positions.
Try to keep them at ear level or aimed at the listening position for best sound.

Have this Bose system connected to my Yamaha a/v receiver

If you have it literally conencted the way you say not much good will happen.

The speaker OUTPUTs for the Yamaha feed the INPUTS on the Acoustimass Module then the satellites branch out of the Acoustimass Module's OUTPUTs.

Acoustimass module
Bose® recommends putting your Acoustimass module at the same end of the room as the
television monitor. To prevent interference, keep the module at least 2 feet (.6 m) from the
television.
• You may hide the Acoustimass module behind or under furniture, but do not block the
opening. Be sure there is at least 2 inches (5 cm) between the opening and any surface.
• If the opening faces the wall it increases the bass; if it faces away it decreases the bass.
For the most bass response, place the opening 2 to 3 inches (5 to 8 cm) from a wall or
corner.
• Stand the Acoustimass module vertically or horizontally (Figure 6). To stand it on the
cable connection end, remove the cover by gently pulling it away

Move the sub closer to a wall or corner to increase the bass.

This is a SYSTEM and as such is not designed to be pieced out or separated. I don't recommend that you try it that way. I doubt it will improve the sound.

Left Channel Not Working.

Has it ever worked?

Try this - connect one pair of its speaker wires at a time and test it. Watch the polarity.

• Make sure all cube speaker arrays are connected to the proper terminals according to their
position in your room.
• Check to be sure all wires are connected to your surround receiver with the proper polarity
(+ to + and – to – wires). Incorrect wiring can result in a total loss of module output.
• Correct any wiring problems before you plug in your receiver and turn it on.

How do you know the receiver's Left channel isn't the fault? Sounds like a source issue.

Speaker wire tabs for neg/pos connections in rear of speaker

The usual spring-loaded speaker terminals can be bought from constructor supply catalogues or salvaged from broken or obsolete equipment.

It should be possible for anyone with a moderate practical aptitude to replace the terminal if the original is beyond repair. It is a largely intuitive process.
