You need to hook this unit up to a computer to record and install the optional software that came with it....you can then set up record times, intervals, etc... Good luck.

Uniden answering machine is not recording message

Use a different phone to call your Uniden. Listen for the recording that invites the caller to leave a message (at the tone). If no tone, your Uniden won't go into message record mode.

When it records in quad mode, you will not be able to hear the audio. You will need to choose manual or scheduled recording to get the video feed in full screen for audio to be recorded as well.

I want to record the voice mail greeting to save it

Hi, I did the same thing last year when I lost dad. I tried several ways but this is what worked best. I used an Olympus audio recorder which connects to PC via USB. Hold recorder about 8" away from phone, record the message. Then transfer to PC. I then used Wavepad to clean up the message and triple the volume, then saved it as a WAV. Now I have it forever & it's very clear. Good luck, I know how important this is. If you need further clarification feel free to ask.
If this helps you plz rate it 'fixya' for me. Thank you kindly.

Uniden DXA 1388-2 Cordless Phone

Couple different ways -
1- get a recording device from Radio Shack that plugs into the handset to record calls and playback to record.
2. If you have a computer record it through your windows operating system
3. use your cell phone and record it

Then you can download it as a recorded file into anything you desire.

I have a Uniden, I don't know if it's the same model as yours, but you just hold down the 'greeting' button until it says "record greeting", and then you record your greeting.
