I have a FinePix S7000 with a Fujifilm XD Picture Card, 128MB.
I transfer pictures to my computer using a FinePix DPC-R1 Card Reader.
My problem is that the pictures on the computer are in a "mixed up" order, no where even close to the order in which they were taken. I spend hours having to rearrange them within a folder.
Any suggestions? What might I be doing wrong?

Re: FinePix Image Memory Card reader DPC-R1
Usually the filename is how they are sorted, i.e., 001.jpg, 002.jpg, 003.jpg.... Check on the camera's setup menu to see what method is being used for file naming (for instance, it may be organizing based on date stamp, instead...).

Fujifilm today announced that a number of early FinePix S7000 Zoom digital cameras may experience battery power depletion when used with some CompactFlash™ memory cards.
This fault does not occur when the S7000 is used with either an xD-Picture Card™ or a Microdrive™, nor does it occur in any other Fujifilm products that offer a CompactFlash™ storage facility, such as the FinePix S2 Pro, S602, S602 Pro or M603.
Cameras with serial numbers above 34L60001 (inclusive) were produced after 15 December 2003 and therefore will definitely not experience this battery drain problem.
In the short term, the problem can be avoided by unloading then re-loading the batteries just after the camera is switched off. The camera's power supply will then perform normally.

The CompactFlash card may have caused the batteries to drain. Some solid state CompactFlash cards consume power while inserted in the FinePix S7000 even if the camera is turned OFF. Fujifilm recommends removing the CompactFlash card when the camera is not in use. Microdrives and xD-Picture Cards do not exhibit this problem.
