Question about Bose QuietComfort 2 Consumer Headphones

1 Answer

The sponge and faux leather cover on one earpiece is falling apart from the frame: the "leather" surface is also tatty and showing holes. The kit is 4 years old and otherwise works well. Can the comfort bits be replaced easily?

Unfortunately, the comfort bits cannot be replaced because there are no replacement parts for this Headphone.

You can only manage the headphone by trying to use something like super glue to to hold the part that is falling off. You can only do some manipulation in putting it together but there are no replacement parts for this headphone.

I hope you understand the above........

Good luck.

Actually that's quite wrong. You can purchase replacement ear cushions, and they just snap into place so it's simple to replace.

Leather product give best or not?

real leather products are very good if maintained properly
wears well and always looks good
there is a leather product on the market that is made up of leather shavings that are glued and compressed under heat ( composite leather )
Looks very real , is used extensively in house upholstery, car seats , hand bags , half the price of real leather but after a while it de-laminates and falls apart
If you car is less that $20.000 with leather seats, there is every chance that it is composite leather and after a period of say 5 years will show signs of delamination
If you have a leather sofa ( lounge ) for around the $2.000.00 price there is every possibility that it is composite leather and will look bad after 3 years of family service
If on the other hand your vehicle is over $100k then there will be a tag saying genuine animal leather and that will last longer than the car

How to refill the INK Cartridge ?

How do i refill my INK Cartridge ?

There are 2 distinct method
1) Black has a bladder
2) Color contains sponges - we need 3 sirenges with needle
to fill the Color cartridge with sponges - simply punch

1. If you see the Cartridge turn it round and locate the filler holes by removing the plastic top cover of the cartridge.
You may need to pry plastic top or hole cover off using a thin metal blade.
please make sure that you do not damage the sensors on the back of the cartridge whilst doing this.

2. Using the picture(on the cartridge which shows you the 3 differed colored spots), fill syringe with the corresponding color ink.

3. Insert the syringe into the correct hole of the color being filled and push all the way down.
Notes : You will feel resistance as there is a sponge inside.

So Slowly inject approximately 8ml of ink until you can just see the ink surface on the top of the sponge, any more and it is over-filled.
If this happens simply draw back on the syringe a little.

4. Rinse the syringe and needle thoroughly before proceeding then repeat the process for the other colors.

8. Re-attach the cover securely with adhesive tape and continue using the cartridge.

1. Fill the syringe with approximately 20ml of black ink.

2. Push the syringe all the way into the filling hole and SLOWLY inject all the ink into the cartridge or until the reservoir is full.

3. Replace the cartridge and run 1 - 3 cleaning cycles as per printer instructions.

4. If necessary leave cartridge in printer for up to 24 hours. (This allows ink to flow to the print head).

I installed a new black ink cartridge and it doesn't work.

  1. Open the cover of the Kodak 5300 printer. Take out the cartridges that are to be reset.
Find the filing hole. It will most probably be somewhere on the bottom or the rear of the ink cartridge.Moisten the syringe's needle and push it into the sponge all the way through the filling hole. Make sure you do not apply too much force, as the sponge will likely rip apart and consequently will cause clogs.
Keep the ink bottle on a stable surface. The syringe's needle is usually very delicate and thin. Slowly, squeeze the ink bottle to make the ink flow into its sponge. Again, do not apply a lot of pressure or the sponge might expand, which will cause the ink to come out disproportionately during printing.
  2. Squeeze the ink into its sponge until it starts to look moistened. Make sure you do not fill up too much.
  3. Use tissues for wiping the filling hole. Install the refilled ink cartridge on your Kodak2_bing.gif 5300 printer. You will hear a click when the cartridge installs at the right place.

I have rust spots on textured refrigerator door I have no rust spots on the freezer door, what is the cause and how can I clean it? It is a wirlpool...

I do not yet know the cause, but I do know how to clean it up fairly well. You will need a rough surfaced rag or sponge, some additional clean rags, regular dishwashing liquid and baking soda. Dampen the rough surfaced sponge, cover with a layer of the liquid soap, then a layer of baking powder. With this, clean an area of the rust using a circular motion. You will need to rinse and reapply the cleaning agents often. You will see the brown rust coming off a little more with each cleaning. Use additional rags for rinsing the whole area. I spent an hour on the fridge side door before I was satisfied. The unit is in a vacation rental that probably is not always well temperature controlled. It is also a Whirlpool leather look textured door.

Jeep 1992 yJ Outside Door Handle

ok, the inside panel is cardboard with faux leather. remove the screws holding on the inside handle and the frame of the doorlatch.

there is a plastic joint that connects the two rods that actuate and open the door. the rods are bent at the end to slip into the white plastic joint. this design is stupid and often times that joint can break, or the rods fall out. solution is to reattach them together and wrap mechanics wire or bend the very ends of the rods so they wont come out.

its something i cant really explain, but the design is straight forward. also, keep track of the threads on the rod that connects to the claw that meets the striker on the frame of the jeep. if for any reason its not adjusted properly, it will not latch properly.
