You will not need a disc it should pick it up when you plug the router in and check the lines. This router is a plug and play most of them are today. In order to log in to them you have to go to 192.168.0.1 type those in once connected. Then you can download the drivers or other service downloads for your router their at the site. Type in admin for log in once you access the Dynex site.

Depending on the OS system your using just plug it in and play off to the Internet you will go. If you cannot access the Net then restart everything and power back up again do not use the disc anyway there has been issues with using a disc to install this router. Allow it to self install! Thanks for using FixYa! John

Which package do I need to buy to upgrade the windows ME to Windows 7?

you will need to buy win 7 , home is the cheapest and win professional is the dearest depending on how advanced you want win 7 to be
home is for school and every day pc work and gaming
if the hard drive is partitioned already you could install it on the 1/2 of the hard drive and that way any documents you have in ME will still be able to be read
you can buy and down load win 7 direct form microsoft site or you can buy a disc from e-bay cheaper but remember that you run the risk that the e-bay disc may not have a valid authorization code
when you make the decision , talk with a computer shop as to installation , if you need to remove win ME first and any problems with documents if you do or loading win 7 straight on

How to restore system

im assuming you have the recovery disk

Restart the computer and press the pause/break key on the keyboard.

This key will slow down the boot process and allow you to see the motherboard BIOS access key that you'll need to press in order to access the motherboard BIOS.

Press the respective motherboard access key and check the motherboard BIOS for a boot sequence.

Change the settings in the boot sequence so the primary boot device or the first boot drive is the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.

Insert the system recovery disc into the disc drive.

Restart the computer and allow it to boot up before doing anything.

A black screen should show up with the words Press any key to boot from disc CD/DVD.
Press a key to have the system boot from the recovery disc.

Allow the system to load.

Follow the on-screen instructions on how to install the rest of the operating system.

There are many different settings for you to choose.
If the operating system is just a little out of whack, you can choose to repair it.

The system recovery disc will contain important drivers and software for all the components connected to the computer system.

If you do not have a system restore disc you can search the Internet for drivers and software that are packaged for your specific eMachines model.

Restore the BIOS to their default settings so the hard drive is primary boot sequence.

This is an optional step.

You can leave the CD-ROM drive as the primary boot drive, but it will slow down the startup process by a few seconds.

hope this helps

I have the hp inspiron 531s.Can i burn cd or dvd??

Yes your computer has a DVD writer... It should have the software to burn DVDs and CDs

The Dell Inspiron 531 is a desktop personal computer with a Microsoft Windows operating system. An Inspiron equipped with a CD burner can be used to record audio discs using Windows Media Player, which comes installed on the Inspiron as a standard part of the software package Dell loads onto its computers. Blank, recordable discs and pre-recorded audio CDs are the only supplies needed for the project.

You can load Windows from your original installation discs that came with your computer package. You're saying that you have a new HDD - therefore it requires a new installation just like with your previous HDD. Hope it all goes well. If yes, please do rate me. Thanks

Sony CD Mavica MVC-CD400

I think you have to Finalize the disc before you put it into your computer. After you save all the pictures to your computer, if it's a CD-RW, you can format it -which will erase all pictures on the disc. Then you can use it over and over again. If you haven't already bought a bunch of cheep CD-R discs, I recommend getting a package of 3 or 4 CD-RW discs instead. They are more expensive but they last longer and you can be way more organized with them. I hope this helps.

Here is a link that really helped me out with my Mavica,

I have loaded the software from disc supplied with my webcam 9000 but keep getting told that upgrades are required when I start my computer. If I say yes upgrade deletes software already installed gets...

completely uninstall everything associated with the initial install of the camera, might require going into the registry and looking for any instance of the camera. Before you try reinstalling, make sure you have the most recent version of explorer as new scripts require updated IExplorer.
