Change ef78 filter

Hi Warren,
I have put up a youtube video to help show how part of this is done.
Take a look at the video it is really about how to clean the filters but it does go part of the way to what you need to know.
Ok so to change the filters you lift them out of the machine as I am doing at about the 1 minute 30 second mark. Then hold the one of the cylinders and at the same time press the release button at the top of the filter holder. Whilst pressing the button in twist the filter off the holder. Simply repeat the process on the other side. Installing new filters is actually easier, just place the filter in the holder and press it in while turning till it locks.
If you need more clarification let me know and i will upload a video to help you further. If you need to buy a new EF78 filter click here.

Filter mesh holder is damaged, locking holes are broken will not lock in place - need new filter mesh

Hi Joe: The model has been discontinued and difficult to find replacement parts. I located a few online suppliers offering a HEPA Filter that fits the BUC11700UC. See here:

http://www.vacuumcleaners.net/bosch-buz200hcuc-hepa-filter-for-bagless-jet-upright.html or

http://www.allergybegone.com/boshepfilfor4.html or

http://www.wikio.com/product/vacuum-parts-accessories-compatible_with_bosch-reviews-12020-page3-sort0.html

Is this the part you are looking for? The third site above does offer other replacement parts if you are looking for a different filter piece.

Thank you for using Fixya!

I have replaced my ice maker filter. Now when the ice maker comes on or we press tab for water, the box where the filter cartridge pushes in leaks water through 2 holes in top of refrigerator side.

either the filter isn't in correctly or when you changed it out you broke the filter holder.take out the filter and try reinstalling it,also look at the filter to see if it's damaged or try putting the old filter back in,if it leaks with both filters then i'd have to say the filter holder is broke,if it only leaks with the new filter then you could have a defective filter.try reinstalling it.good luck.

How do I change the filter, (Holmes hm7204 Humidifier) Where does it go?

REPLACING THE FILTERS
Through normal use, waterborne minerals and sediment
become trapped in the wick filters. The harder your
water, the greater the amount of minerals in the water,
and the more often you will be able to monitor the life of
your filters in your humidifier.
You will be able to monitor the life of the filters in your
humidifier by checking the FilterCheck® Indicator. After
60 minutes of use, FilterCheck® Indicator will move and
indicate your filters condition. New filters will register in
the section reading Good filter. After frequent use of your
humidifier, the FilterCheck® Indicator will let you know
when the filters need to be changed, see Figure 2.
When the needle is in the CHANGE section, this means the
proper amount of moisture is not getting into your air due
to the excessive minerals and sediment that have become
trapped on your filters. At this point, you should replace your
filters. It is important to change your filters as
indicated to obtain stated performance level.
To replace the filter, follow the steps below:
1. Turn the unit off and disconnect from the electrical
outlet.
2. Remove the tank and main housing to access the base.
3. Remove the wick holder from the base of the humidifier.
4. Remove each individual wick and discard. Do not
remove rivet, replacement wicks come equipped with
rivets for easy replacement.
5. Follow the weekly cleaning instructions.
6. Insert new filters into each section of the wick holder
making sure the rivet attaches to the wick holder
securely.
7. Do not use wicks without rivets as this will not
produce the units intended output.
8. Replace the wick holder into the base and replace
main housing and then tank.
9. Repeat Operating Instructions.
It will take about 30 minutes for the humidifier to reach
maximum output.
Cheers!

The toro will start and run for 2 seconds then quit. We took apart the air filter and cleaned the gas line as well as cleaned the plug. No improvement. Thought it may have been bad gas or a plugged gas...

I am not sure what type of carb you have so I will give you a couple of ideas.
1. If the carb is one of the plastic ones that attaches directly to the gas tank take of the air cleaner and press the primer bulb. If you get a spurt of gas and not a stream of gas get a new diaphragm for the carb. It goes between the tank and the carb.
2. If there is a sediment bulb hooked to the carb drain the gas from tank and then carefully remove the sediment bulb and clean it.
3. If there is a sediment bulb hooked to the carb and a flat paper air filter attached to the sediment bulb via a plastic air filter holder with a primer bulb built into the air filter holder replace the gasket between filter cover and sediment bulb.

good luck
let me know if this works.

Subwoofer fuse 'holder' missing.

tape or solder a piece of metal across where the fuze and holder would go.
OR
go to radio shack, pick up a small cartridge style fuze holder and an appropriate replacement fuze. (if you dont have the original fuze, dont bother with this method) Open the box or case to gain access to the circuit board. solder a new holder to the contacts.

Be aware that I have no clue what the fuze holder on that particular model looks like.

LIGHTER FOR MY SATURN

Probably would have been a good idea to purchase a LED 12vdc tester while at the auto parts store. If the original holder is in the vehicle and the fuse was checked. The next thing you need to do is take the 12vdc tester and touch one lead to the side of the holder and look inside and see a center contact at the bottom of the holder, touch the other lead from the tester to that contact. If your light turns on then you actually have power there. If not the fuse to the lighter is out. You can not visually check a fuse, they must be tested. If you have power try to plug in another lighter. If you have to change or add a new holder the center wire is power and the ring or frame is negative. Depending where the lighter is located I have found coins, gum wrappers etc. in the holder you may also want to make sure nothing is in the holder.

Pavoni Si - leak from above filter holder

Check your screws in the bottom of the portafilter, If they are too tight the spring mechanism inside can't do its job, adjust them and it should work. Also, don't over fill your portafilter, if you put too much coffee in then there is to much pressure and again the water will flow from the top. Hope this helps
