Question about Heating & Cooling

I need a manual for Maytag M7DH65B2A dehumidifer. www.maytag.com didn't have anything on dehumidifers. Nothing came up even when I put dehumidiers and the model number. Is there another site to obtain a manual for Maytag dehumidifers? Thanks

Hi,

I wasn't able to locate an on-line manual. However, I did locate a place that shows a breakdown of your dehumifiier. There is also a number to call where you may be able to get a manual. See this link:

Why does my dehumidifer not work?

If it is not running because it thinks the bucket is full even when it isn't, the problem is that the float is broken or jammed. A replacement is no longer available, but you can find the small switch and tape it so it always stays on. It won't shut off when the bucket is full, but it will run. This assumes all the other panel lights come on properly - you didn't provide much detail about what works and what doesn't work.

Where do you find replacement parts when they are discontinued? I need a regulator for my dehumidifer a7dh45b2.

Fedders also made identical dehumidifiers for Maytag. Their model numbers are almost identical, and their parts are the same. So, try finding the parts you need thru Maytag.

My dehumidifer kr923317 283w will not come on it just beeps

Hi,

The tank may be full. Your dehumidifier has a safety device that turns off the dehumidifier when the water tank is full. Usually the tank itself either presses against a switch or there's a device connected to the tank that triggers a switch when the tank is in place and full.

If you've emptied the tank and the unit doesn't run, inspect the place where the tank rests to see if there's a switch or mechanism that's not being activated. You may be able to turn it on with a simple flick of your finger.

Good luck.

I have a Maytag model M7DH65B2A dehumidifier that has worked well for several years. However, when I hook up the hose to drain off the water when we go on vacation the water still fills up the built-in...

Hi Graham. Check the hose and the opening to the hose through the base of the dehumidifer. There is probably some debris in there causing this aggravating problem. J.

Maytag Dehumidifer still works, but is leaking

Well life span is 3-15 years depends how long and hard you run them. 45 pint is about 1000sqft basment. rule of thumbs bigger better. run less and do a better job. I would start by filling the bucket and place in a dry shower see if you have a crack. cant find a source for the bucket discontinued this might be your problem. http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=t-M7DH45B2A-%3d%3di1025984&PartID=1025984 Repair cost are about 40-50 and hour!!!! good luck

White powder coming from dehumidifer.

Commercially available cool mist humidifiers sonicate water in order to create a fine mist. In other words, intense vibration liberates millions of tiny droplets of water from the reservoir. This water contains all of the salts of the original tap water. Consequently, over time, you will begin noticing that a fine white powder covers EVERYTHING in the room. This is the same stuff that is trapped in the reservoir of a warm mist humidifier.
its harmful but very annoying !
