You remove the screws to release the drum assy, so it is free to move on it's shock absorbers and springs, failure to do so can result in serious damage to inner workings of washer.

If they instructions say to remove the shipping screws/bolts then they are the 4 larger one on the rear of the if you do not remove it will shake and possibly do damage to the unit and or scratch the floor.

Repairing a Singer Sewing machine presser foot lifter.

Inside the foot the wires are connected to two different screws. They are obviously coming loose by being pulled.
1. Open the foot on the bottom.
2. Look where the screws are. You need to have the wires connected there.
3. Before connecting to screws: tie a knot in the wire from the inside of the foot pedal where the wire protrudes through the hole.
4. Now, tightly connect the wire to each screw. Apply bottom of bracket. Now, sew!!!!!!!!!!

When draining the machine makes noise

If there is a back panel on the machine you can access it from there, if it has a enclosed back then you will have to lean the machine backwards against the wall to get underneath to access it. The pump has two wires attached to it make sure the power is off & lead removed from wall before you unplug them otherwise you get zapped. The drain pump is held into the pump casing/housing by three Phillips head screws. Undo the screws remove old pump and replace with new pump, make sure rubber seal is on the new pump before installing. You will need a torch & a Phillips head screw driver.

Green wire on back connects to what

A green wire is usually an earth wire and connects to the frame of the machine. Follow the wire and if it connects to anything else that is part of the frame or casing of any component or the earth wire to the outlet, connect it to a convenient earth screw or stud. If possible, check it for continuity to earth before you reconnect the machine to the mains,

I was changing the hoses and in the process my wrench nicked the plastic hose connector on the machine. Now when I connect the new hose it leaks. Is it possible for me to put a new plastic connection on...

The part is the water valve. Before replacing it you may want to try to apply some teflon tape on the threads, also be sure you have the rubber washers installed in the hoses.
You can replace this part yourself if needed part number is 21001932 and should run around 35$.

Be sure to unplug the washer before proceeding, and slide the washer away from the wall about 2 feet.

You will need to first pop up the top of the washer. The entire top is designed to open like the hood on a car. Between the front panel and the top about 3 inches in from the left and the right sides you will see the face of a spring clip. You need to use a putty knife to depress the clips and lift the front edge of the top. swing the top all the way up and allow it to lean against the wall behind the washer. Be sure it is tipped back enough that it is not gonna swing forward and hit you.
You will now be able to access the valve located in the back of the machine. There is usually one screw that holds the valve to the back of the machine. There will be two wire connections on the valve that need to be removed, and the hose that connects to the top of the valve.
Good luck with this!

I need to replace drain hose on an amana top loading washer. Is it easy to take off or is it connected to the drain pump? It is connected near the top of the washer. there is plastic around the whole where...

The connection for the drain hose is always directly to the pump outlet

You need to loosen off the top connection after removing the screws in the back panel

The panel will then slide over the hose (The plastic is there to stop it chafing )

The hose is held onto the pump with a clip , on some it is a screw type on others what is called a Cordbin clip which you need a pair of grips to remove or proper Corbin Pliers

Dump the hose into a bucket and tip the machine either forward or backward to get the maximum water out of it before you undoe the clips

Help me immediately, please

Actually, the "kit" is a DIMM that plugs into the controller on the right side of the copier (when looking at it from the back of copier) On this model, you need to add 64mb of RAM if you want to add functionality to print and scan, along with the DIMM. Yes, there are 2 different DIMM's for this, is Print and one is Print/Scan.
PS: there is a kit to install said items that includes buttons for the controll panel and DIMM, however, the memory is separate (laptop memory or SO DIMM)

If the dryer has a 4 wire cord and you need a 3 wire cord, you should have a jumper, or little metal strip, that came with the dryer. You will connect this jumper between the green ground screw that attaches to the frame and the screw where you white neutral wire lands on the terminal block.

If the dryer is 4 wire and you need it four wire, you simply connect the white to the neutral screw, the black to one of your hot screws, the red to your other hot screw and you green to the green screw connected to your frame. If there is a piece of metal, "jumper" connected from the neutral or white screw and the green screw in the frame you will need to remove this.

Write back if you need clarification.
